Cardinia Reservoir Park (Parks Victoria) - VIC

loveleen Kaur Beautiful park with stunning views over the reservoir! Great walking trails, especially the Kangaroo Viewing Trail where we saw heaps of kangaroos in the evening. Plenty of picnic spots with BBQs and clean toilets. Perfect for a relaxing day out in nature. Just remember to bring your own rubbish bags as there are no bins. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting a peaceful escape close to Melbourne.

The Boathouse - VIC

Wai Yin Lai The Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens are one of my favourite places. The boathouse is picturesque, the lake peaceful. The gardens are lovely all year round, different flowers our in different seasons. Highly recommend. If theres a downside, it would be signage. Ad there is a 5pm closing time, better signs and distances to exit would be helpful. Maybe even a map at main points like the rhododendron gardens further up the hill.

Churchill National Park - VIC

Tony B Churchill National Park is a hidden gem in metro south eastern Melbourne. I highly recommend going for a walk around to discover varied landscape. The walk I did would normally take around 40 minutes (I stopped a lot to take in the scenery) and it started just near the main entrance gate.

Art Boulders - VIC

Dan Morey Its a pretty easy walk, few wash outs and a little climb to get to the boulders. But well worth it for the view and well as the boulders themselves
