5 /5 Laura Vo: Nice drive in with beautiful views. The hut is well maintained & managed by State Forest carers but its a shame to see visitors have left bits of rubbish around in fire pits & surrounds.
5 /5 Feri: Beautiful Hut, well looked after and clean.
5 /5 Mary Ryan: This little hut is just lovely. Nice picnic table close by - great 4WD track up to it - highly recommended.
5 /5 Matthew Williamson: Great little hut not far off the main road with easy access for most cars. Hut is right at the carpark so dont even need to walk to access it. Hut also has outside fireplace and tables and chairs for your use. Hut is only small so wouldnt fit alot of people if seeking shelter in bad weather. Still well worth a visit to see it. Would definitely recommend.
4 /5 Jonathan Prickett: Its a beautiful little hut close to Mansfield. It has a great history as a hut used for shelter by rangers travelling on horseback through the high country.
Dawn Jones When we turned up we were amazed, lovely quiet spot. So peaceful, the serenity. Plenty of room to walk our dog. Toilets plus lovely hot showers. $15 a night for 2 people.
ita faith This magical space is the cultural beating heart of the Dandenong ranges. Youll find here art exhibitions, performances, artists studios, shows and different events involving the local community.
An absolute gem!
chayo28 Great park with huge footy fields. There is a freshly installed playground on the book east of the park. Nice amenities for all kids and even a half basketball court.
Sharon Edwards Great park for walking and for off leash dogs. There’s some outdoor gym equipment on the corner and on the other side you can enter the park next to the golf course to walk to CERES or further into Northcote.
The park can get soggy when we have a lot of rain but most parks in Darebin seem to turn into ponds in winter. Lighting is average so probably wouldn’t walk there after dark.
Santo DS Today we experienced the St Andrews Trail Ride with my wife and its absolutely breathtaking. We were also fortunate enough to see a Seal on the beach and the horses were super curious.
Thanks for much for this experience and we will be back again.
Andrew McKernan Many of the reviews for this site are misplaced. It is a national park and bird sanctuary. There is no mud, just salt bush and a sandy lagoon.
James Gorman Delightful spot for a ramble on a sunny day. The path was clearly discernible during my visit (albeit a far lighter touch than in a state or national park) and the car park was easily accessible. Best accessible toilets across the road by the oval. Long circuit takes 45 mins to an hour depending on the speed of your amble. Worth a stop.
