5 /5 Kara Murray: One of our favourite places to visit! We use our memberships to visit regularly and are never disappointed. The new Elephant Trail is nothing short of amazing. It’s a great enclosure for the elephants and it really well thought out and designed for the public, too. It does require a little bit of walking but definitely is worth it. Zoo volunteers are friendly and very knowledgeable. Safari bus was awesome. Lots of fun and educational items to buy at the gift shop. Lots of ways to get involved in animal conservation and protecting their habitat.

4 /5 David Dukic: 2nd time here. Other time was 7 to 8 years ago if I remember correctly. Very well maintained gardens and lawn areas. Plenty of areas to sit and cafes/ food places. A little pricey but thats OK. Great staff that were happy to help. I recommend booking your services here. If you go on a public holiday be prepared to wait in long lines. I went on good Friday and it was very busy. I pre booked my tickets and deluxe safari tour so I barely waited. The ones who didnt were lined up for a long time. Parking was not great due to the high volume of people and it was very dusty but hey, not much rain lately in Melbourne. Overall a good experience

5 /5 Martin G: Revisiting the elephant trail; first visit back since the opening in March. The herd has settled in and the three youngsters are making the most of their new home. Just visited to see the elephants on this occasion. Very popular enclosure. A bit of a walk from the zoo entrance but there is assistance for those with mobility issues. The volunteers and keepers are full of info on their charges, and on this occasion, enticed the herd with food, so that everyone could see the elephants close up. The crowds do not seem to bother the animals at all. The three young elephants were making the most of the pool and a mud wallow and seemed to be living an idyllic stress free life. Great work in the planning of this huge enclosure for the elephants. Great visit.

5 /5 Michael Marchese: We had a fantastic time; the safari was great. We saw lions, hippos, camels, and lots more, and now the elephants have arrived—it looks spectacular. Unfortunately, we couldnt do all of the new elephant trail; its really big. We will come back. So we loved every minute of it. You can buy food and coffee at the elephant trail and sit and have a picnic and watch them. Truly amazing. Im coming back soon with family to do a whole day, just the elephant trail. Im a member so I didnt have to wait. I suggest getting there early. If you dont have tickets.
