Warrandyte River Reserve - VIC

Ali - Places to Lunch What’s not to love? Warrandyte River Reserve is a stunning destination that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. The lush bushland, scenic trails, and the Yarra River create an inviting atmosphere for walking, picnicking, or simply unwinding in nature. On the first Saturday of each month, the reserve comes alive with the Warrandyte Riverside Market, held from 8 AM to 1 PM. This vibrant market features over 180 stalls, showcasing local produce, handmade crafts, and gourmet foods. Its a fantastic opportunity to support local while enjoying live music and a lively community atmosphere. The markets location by the river enhances the experience, making it a delightful outing for families and friends.

Griffith Park - VIC

Linda MacAulay Great walk along the river and a good swim spot. The access can be steep and is on an umade path so not suitable for those with mobility issues

Ross Rowley Some idiot drivers while heading in. But otherwise nice clean area, very relaxing nap on the Riverside and kayak. Most people are considerate and maintain the relaxed calm vibes. Wish Id brought snacks

Sweeneys Flats - VIC

Greg Moloney On the Yarra river at Eltham. A wonderful spot to visit and sit by the river. There are no picnic facilities or public conveniences here. The area remains in its natural state. This spot was my swimming hole in the 1950/60s. It hasn’t changed. It’s a short, steep walk down to the river. The no dogs etc sign relates to the Parks Victoria managed area.

tanveer brar Followed gps but main gate is closed. So, had to go around the back street to access the park. Beautiful walk with nice lookout. Was lucky to spot some kangaroos, butterflies, and echidnas. Overall was a good experience!

Anne Hamilton Peaceful spot to enjoy this small wetland area, many different birds call this wetland home. Not much shade, bring a hat, short loop walk but the adventurous can explore further down into Plenty Gorge area.
