5 /5 Melanie Van Lochem: I live 1 hour 15 from Fountain Gate. I was refused a replacement of a damaged piece of jewellery I had gifted to me a year go as I didnt have a receipt which is fair enough, but i was also told a bank statement would not be sufficient either. I was told the only store that had the same piece as mine was Doncaster. The sales lady at Fountain Gate only seemed interested in making a sale and showed no interest in helping with after purchase care, she was so desperate for a sale she even tried to sell me a cleaning cloth for my damaged Jewellery!
Enter Jane at Doncaster. After a phone call to Jane on the same day she advised that they had the last piece of its kind in the country and as I would have to return a week later and this time travel 1 hour 30 that I would need talk to the manager to see what could be arranged based on the type of piece I was after. Jane even held the item to ensure it was available for me. After travelling down, the manager Lucy was fantastic, asked barely any questions and was happy to accept a screenshot of a bank statement.Less then 10 minutes later i was walking out the door with my replacement and huge sense of satisfaction. Lucy was more apologetic then she need to be for a bad situation she had nothing to do with.
