Daneil Doyle Rise MMA is hands down the best gym I’ve trained at. The coaches are legends – super knowledgeable, patient, and they genuinely care about helping everyone improve, no matter your level. The vibe is friendly and welcoming, and the team culture is awesome. The classes are tough but fun, and I’ve noticed massive improvements in my skills and fitness since joining. If you’re looking for a place to train Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, or just get fitter with good people, this is the spot!

Paul Harrison At the tender age of 46, I decided to join Rise MMA and learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Without a shadow of a doubt, it was the best new venture I have undertaken in the last 7 years! Learning a practical martial art is awesome but what else Rise has given me is: - Access to a GREAT new community of friends of great character (as an immigrant to Aus, I didnt know a lot of people) - A hobby that keeps me fit but also allows me to train at my own rate - An ability to think clearly, even when under pressure - massive life skill. - A foundation for making more healthy choices in life, like eating healthy food and staying out of the pub on a Friday night - Helped me lose 30kgs! ...and a whole lot more. My only regret is that I didnt start with Rise sooner because I was letting all of the normal excuses get in the way ( like: "I need to get fit first", "I am too old" or "I am too busy"... etc etc) The people who train there are incredible, the connection you form with people from all different backgrounds and walks of life is brilliant and we all have the common goals of progressing and supporting each other. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, supportive, have a great way of training the techniques, have great senses of humour and are very very patient ( which "Slow learners" like myself are deeply appreciative of!) If youre looking for a martial art, increased self-confidence, motivational fitness environment, new group of friends and community, I absolutely recommend Rise MMA. Its more than just a Martial Arts club, its a community and its the best decision I have made in a long long time. See you on the mats! :-)

I didn’t want to feel overwhelmed, and the small size made it feel personal and focused. I’m now stronger, my posture is getting better, and the tightness is easing. Cinzia is motivating, clearly loves what she does, and knows how to challenge you without ever pushing too hard. Every session is different—and we actually look forward to the next one.

Janine Ponnadurai Supermovement is the real deal in supporting strong and flexible bodies. Head coach Janis approach to training for well-being and flexibility supported me through injury, pregnancy and post pregnancy. Additional Coach Jacqs functional strength programming Her program is interesting, her attention to detail is great even early in the morning and she is friendly but outcome focused and coaches to improve form and capacity in a supportive way that that works for me. I look forward to her sessions even at 6am and feel great for the rest of the day!

Anthea McQueen The Super Movement team have been amazing in building up my strength around injury. I was low on confidence with exercising before finding this studio but all the instructors are skilled in tailoring and continually evolving a program that is both comfortable and challenging. Highly recommend.

Lily Riggs SR is a great place to be apart of! The community of the gym makes it worth going. Coach Ed has helped me overcome my issues with regular training and worked with my limitations from my battle with chronic illness. Not only is my coach Ed very knowledgeable and supportive of all goals around lifting, wellbeing and fitness, the other coaches and members of the gym are the biggest supporters inside and outside the gym! It is a very sensory accommodating and understanding place with several opportunities to be apart of the wider gym community at lifting events and social outings! Everyone should give SR Strength Collective a go because I guarantee they will have a different view on Powerlifting after it :)

Chris Nguyen Ive been attending this gym for more than a decade. They have a wealth of knowledge and are consistently eager to share it with their members, the instructors are not only highly skilled but are also passionate about teaching and guiding their members. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and everyone is friendly. If your looking to learn Muay Thai in a supportive and challenging environment this gym is definitely worth checking out.

R I have been training with Jared for 6 months and it is the best decision Ive ever made. In that time, Jared has made me not only a fitter and stronger person but also much more motivated and disciplined which benefits my life in so many ways. Jared has a passion and knowledge of fitness that is second to none. He has tailored a training program and nutrition plan specifically to my needs. The program is constantly updated, which provides variety and keeps me feeling challenged and motivated. In addition to all this, Jared is a great guy who is so easy to get along with. I cant recommend Bushido Strength Hub enough!

Lachlan Caldwell I’ve been training with Jared for almost 2 years now, and believe he is one of the most experienced & committed coaches in Melbourne. As an online client I really enjoyed the variety & challenge Jared puts into each program. Always taking into account my feedback from our weekly check ins, sculpting each 4 week block around that, whilst pushing me to get the most out of myself. Jared is focused on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging (& somehow fun). My fitness, physique and strength have all improved noticeably and I’ve seen huge progression in my ability to lift heavier weights & generally push myself harder throughout each session. I find I actually look forward to my workouts. Importantly: - Jared ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries. (So much so that when I started training with him, i went back to absolute basics to adjust my technique in all compound lifts) - Jared is extremely reliable & punctual when I do do PT sessions– always set up & ready to start training ahead of time, with an exercise routine planned, as well as extremely punctual for our weekly check in calls - calling me at exactly 6pm each Tuesday evening to see how the weeks been/progressing - Jared is extremely passionate about what he trains and teaches his clients, going all in on each and everyone who train under him I am competing in my first powerlifting competition in 4 weeks, I would never have though this would be possible prior to training with Jared. I thoroughly enjoy training at Bushido Strength and would recommend Jared & his team to anyone looking to improve their Strength & fitness with a dedicated & knowledgeable group of coaches.

Laura Mundy Best gym in the west! I cant recommend Leo highly enough for training. He knows his stuff and makes you feel so safe and included in the amazing community hes created there. If you have a dog, partner, baby, all of the above that you want to train with, he welcomes you all with open arms. Definitely get into headstrong gym if youre looking for a gym in the western suburbs.

Michael Parker Headstrong is an excellent gym. Really enjoy working out here. The trainer Leo really knows his stuff and does a great job of breaking down exercises and focusing on correct form. Every day is a fresh workout which keeps it engaging and the community here is friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend!

J J Building is like walking into a freezer and couldn’t access any bathrooms because the walkways don’t fit wheelchairs. Had to be driven to the McDonald’s up the road. It is pretty disgusting in 2025 not to have disabled or parent facilties. Step your game up Westgate!

I LOST 60KGS AND ADDED A HEAP OF MUSCLE WITH THE HELP OF COACH ABS! From a PRIVATE clean, neat and tidy gym with all the equipment you need, to a great culture and loads of help from all their friendly coachs, I couldnt recommend them more to anyone.
