Shoten Sushi and Grocery - VIC

Nichada Lee I just went there yesterday. I’m so glad that Elsternwick has a Japanese grocery store. If you’re looking for Japanese products, this shop perfect, though compared to Chinese stores, they might have a wider selection. However, what I really felt when I walked into this store was that the atmosphere was nice, everything looked high quality, and the prices were reasonable.

Motorina Pizzeria - VIC

Dan Fantastic pizzas, delicious and creative. Atmosphere is perfect, its trendy, welcoming and stylish. Only problem is that as a small restaurant (which I think is part of the charm), it can get pretty crowded, particularly on weekends, so ordering delivered or take-away is a better option if time is a pressing concern. As a longtime fan of crust pizzas, Ive been converted to Motorino, they are smaller but fresher tasting, have better bases, it does help that its much closer to my home than crust too. Highly recommended, the Italian restaurant over the street on Glenhuntley Road is also really good if theres not room in Motorino. Enjoy :)

Rustica Cafe Deli - VIC

Nate Wade Plenty of seating, friendly and attentive staff. A lot of food variety for a quick breakfast or lunch. Coffee is smooth and strong, I can see why they are awarded so highly for their coffee taste and quality. Highly recommend.

M A Chef’s Cuban sandwich was delicious! I liked the Lobster roll as well. I think this cafe’s food should be more famous :)) Cakes looked very tempting, too.

Moc Roll - Vietnamese Eatery - VIC

Mark Harrigan A real Vietnamese food treasure. I’ve had the best of Vietnamese food across Vietnam and Melbourne and these guys are among the best. Authentic fresh and delicious food served promptly and with friendly and helpful staff. And the prices are low - just $11 for a crispy pork or Cha siu pork Banh Mi that is chock full and mouth watering (many other options too). Their Bao is also delicious and their rice paper rolls are fresh tight and full. Many other options on the menu. Today we had Pork Vermicelli Bowl, BBQ chicken rice paper rolls and a Cha Siu Banh Mi - scrumptious!!

Khun Thai Restaurant - VIC

Regaleatsmelb If you want fabulous food, great staff and that homely Thai vibe, this is the place for you! The menu is extensive and will require a few visits to get through but the staff will help you through it with some of their favs if its your first time. A great indicator of great Thai food for me lately is the quality of their in-house made fish cakes and these ones did not disappoint - juicy and full of flavour, they are a must order, if not for the Fish Cakes themselves but for that sweet chilli dipping sauce which is also made on site! The Somtum Thai green papaya salad was everything sweet, sour and salty and the Steamed Barramundi was another winner especially breaking into it to find the spring onion and lime cooked within! But my favourite had to be the Chicken, Cashew & Chilli Jam with a combination of flavours that can only be described as a perfect balance of heat and sweetness that proves Thai cuisine’s ability to balance complex flavors and textures in a single dish. Its a small place but it only adds to the personable touch.

DAMSO Korean BBQ - VIC

Angie Great value for money! Highly recommend the all you can eat deal. From the all you can eat menu, the thinly sliced beef slice and spicy pork were great. The fried chicken was nice and crispy too. The thicker pork cuts were not as good. The seafood tofu stew was absolutely delicious! Would definitely come back.

Ren Dao - VIC

Juliethmoya Ibanez If you’re in Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs and looking for vegetarian or vegan options, this restaurant is a hidden gem you shouldn’t miss. The menu is extensive, offering a great variety of starters, soups, and main dishes — all full of flavor. You’ll be warmly welcomed by a lovely lady who makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere transports you straight into the heart of the Asian community, with authentic vibes and decor. Conveniently located right across from Elsternwick Station, it’s super easy to reach by public transport. Definitely worth a visit!
