Bethany Thiele Had such a great brunch here on the AFL GF public holiday - turned up without a reservation to the busiest place! The staff were so accommodating and welcoming and managed to find us a table. The service was quick and the food was yum. We ordered coffees (which were perfect) and French toast and panacotta Granola. Servings were huge and delicious. The staff were really nice and seemed energetic and happy to work there. I will definitely be going back :) The only small issue was that the glasses did not seem clean, they were a bit smudgy.

Bolly Bandits Bolly Bandits hosted our first anniversary event at Gold Receptions. And it was the best decision we made! Our event had dance performances, games and like many out there, we are big foodie! Gurjeet at Gold Receptions helped us plan the whole thing, suggested menu. The staff on site helped us with the layout of the hall and their great service ensured there was always enough food on the table. The food was top quality, great taste and freshly made. The only thing Id point out is the adjacent hall also had another event going on and they were inconsiderate w.r.t. playing high volume DJ that was constantly causing disruption, although it wasnt on the venue staff. We will definitely be back next year! Thank you Gold Receptions for making this evening a memorable one for all of us!

Jess W Shout out to the staff on tonight (19/02) for going above and beyond. My partner and I ordered the Mac and cheese bites and unfortunately they could not be served. Not only did we get a refund which we were more than happy with, they gave us a cheesy garlic bread with dips on the house. It’s gestures like this that really make your night and show how good local businesses can be. Without a doubt can say we will be back!!! The food and drinks were awesome too! Al D Inda (probs butchered spelling ;-;) the owner served us a beautiful creamy prawn coconut curry w TONS of prawns. Butter chicken was also very good. Also tried the gulab jamun which was super sweet and warming! Friendly staff, reasonable prices and a wonderful experience! :)

Gouri Chatterjee Dosa and idly are my all-time favourites, and I’ve found one of the best spots for them in this area! The flavours are so authentic and savoury that you simply won’t forget the taste. I also tried the buffet, and it was not only great value for money but also packed with delicious variety and rich flavours. Truly a place worth visiting!

Aebril Evangelista My favourite place to have breakfast and lunch. The cafe is not profit cafe that supporting local community. This is why I love coming here because I feel like I am helping the local community when Im getting something to eat. Price is affordable. Staff are friendly and food are yummy!

Kevin Ko I recently visited Ordain Bistro and had a wonderful dining experience overall. For entrées, we tried the “Not So Lobster Roll” with prawn, chorizo, chives and brioche, along with the chicken on toast. Both dishes were incredibly tasty and full of flavour. For mains, my partner ordered the 400g porterhouse with mash and jus, which was cooked to perfection. I had the chicken breast with sauerkraut, and I have to say it was the best chicken breast I’ve had so far—so tender and juicy. On the side, we enjoyed the overnight carrots and shoestring fries, which complemented the meal beautifully. Dessert was just as impressive: a sour cherry tart and a rich 70% chocolate ganache. The food and cocktails were truly superb. The only downside was the service. While friendly, the staff seemed unfamiliar with the menu—when we asked about ingredients, they needed to check multiple times. With more product knowledge and confidence, the service could match the quality of the food. The seating area felt cozy, but the chair I sat on was not very comfortable, as the bottom cushioning had worn out. This might be something worth reviewing, particularly the round chair near the booth area. Overall, a fantastic meal with outstanding food and drinks—just a few small improvements needed in service and seating comfort.

Dr. Ramakant Rana Gold Sweets in Carrum Downs is an absolute gem for authentic Indian food. The Chole Kulche are the best I’ve had, full of flavour and perfectly made. Their Missi Roti is awesome, and the Makki ki Roti is just as great, especially with traditional sides. The food is fresh, delicious, and reminds you of home-style cooking. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving real Punjabi flavours!
