Paul Went here for their Monday baby back ribs night and it was Amazing! Food was legit and tasty. The vibes in here are 100%! Decor and the artist wall paintings of all the jungle animals are mesmerising. Their Guinness is on point too. Staff were friendly and attentive. Arjun & Holly looked after us extremely well. Head chef Sailesh even came out to greet us. Can’t wait to come back for Steak night and Wood-fire pizza night.

OConnells Hotel - VIC
Jafari Ali “Jeff” Expect delicious, fancy pants, [pub] food that looks very good but I would have to say the wonderful staff and great ambiance of the night sitting stole the show for me... We arrived close to the kitchen close time (like 3 minutes to close) and the staff accommodated us with open arms and a nice smile. On top of being delayed mom had a broken leg in a cast which made things even slower! Check out the food pics... The veg option is very thin but the rest of the crew were happy with their meals.

Minas Vagianakis Lovely little place once you find it. Reminds me of those little places in Japan where the menu is small but they do all those things really well. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area. Potato croquettes were a highlight.

Anastasis Kokkinos This was a pleasant experience they were two girls outside eating a noodle dish with chicken and prawns which I ordered and really enjoyed it. I will definitely come back here and try some of the entrees which looked delicious as well.

Nanna’s Place Mediterranean Restaurant - VIC
Peter a Nanna’s Place totally won us over. I went for the Ħaġin il-Forn—think baked pasta coziness with a cheese layer that’s both rich and nostalgic. A bit more crunch on top would be my cheeky tweak, but the flavor was spot on. Liz had the Beef Bragioli—tender, hearty, and bursting with flavor. And here’s the kicker: we took home a dozen of their frozen pastizzi, baked them up, and they were a flaky, golden triumph—an at-home reminder of how good this place is. The vibe is warm, the food feels lovingly crafted, and we’ll be back—maybe for more pastizzi next time!

Stephen Pinter Proper and Son at the South Melbourne Markets offered a simple but awsome dining experience with its delicious cheeseburger and fries. During my quick lunch visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the outstanding quality of the food. The cheeseburger was truly amazing and one of the best Ive had in a while. Along with the tasty fries, the meal was satisfying and flavorful. The service at Proper and Son was top-notch, with attentive staff members who were prompt and friendly. Despite only trying the cheeseburger on this visit, I could tell that the overall dedication to quality and customer satisfaction was evident throughout the establishment. While I didnt have the chance to sample other dishes during my visit, I am eager to return to Proper and Son to explore more of their menu offerings. If the cheeseburger is any indication of the caliber of their food, I have no doubt that the rest of the options will be equally impressive. Proper and Son at the South Melbourne Markets is definitely worth a visit for a tasty meal in a welcoming

Jazmin C Me and my partner love pirate life. Whether it’s for casual drinks or a meal it works for every occasion. Every time the service is impeccable, the staff are nice and attentive. Our favourite night is Thursday steak day, followed closely by free pot (brewers shout) Wednesdays. We’ve tried a few different steak nights around South Melbourne and this is my favourite one for $25 it’s such good quality! I need to try more of their meals but their snacks are also delicious.

Simply Spanish - VIC
Simon Harris We came for lunch specifically for the paella, which was recommended and didnt disappoint. Great flavours and a good size dish. Also tried some tapes which was also good. We will definitely return.
