5 /5 Katie Goldberg: Closing the long weekend at Bibi Ji was such a treat! The team were absolutely lovely, and a big shout-out to Ash, the manager, who made everything feel effortless and welcoming. Service really felt like it came from the heart. The wine list is so good - exactly what you want to match with bold, modern flavours. And the food… wow. Everything felt fresh, modern, and full of personality. We couldn’t get enough of the butter chicken (creamy, dreamy, exactly how it should be) and the railway chicken (so packed with flavour, honestly a standout). The interiors are gorgeous too - bright, fun, and completely modern, but still cozy. Between the food, the wine, and the vibe, this one’s an absolute winner. Can’t wait to be back!

Great food Amazing staff Excellent venue The food is something I’m very picky about in my life, some even calling a@al, but that only means I appreciate good things in my life. And the food here is excellent. Flavours are bursting and everything is at just the right temperature. I can’t pick one good item in the menu as everything I tried so far are excellent. How about the ambience? Looks great and the restaurant is very clean, which I always appreciate. Now I need to talk about the staff working here. So friendly and helpful, they take the dining experience to another level. Thank you to everyone working on the floor and in the kitchen for making our dining experience AMAZING

4 /5 Priyanka Patel: This place did not disappoint—after such a long time, it was genuinely good Indian food. I can confidently say they serve some of the best naan/roti in Melbourne. We ordered the garlic naan, and it was so good that I could have eaten it on its own. While the menu could benefit from a few more additions, everything we ordered was absolutely spot on. Our spread included paneer tikka masala, malai kofta, tandoori chicken, cauliflower 179, paprika chaat, along with a refreshing peach cooler and Indian beer (Bira)—each dish delivered on flavour and quality. Overall, great food, well-executed dishes, and an experience that left us very satisfied. Rating: 9.5/10 ⭐️

This place truly lives up to its reputation for big, vibrant flavours and modern takes on beloved classics — everything we tried was outstanding.  The ambience is electric and fun, with colourful fabrics draped across the ceiling and lively décor that perfectly sets the mood for a relaxed night out. Whether you’re there for dinner with friends, date night, or a group celebration, the atmosphere creates a warm and memorable experience.  We started with some street-food inspired bites — think crispy pani puri and tangy chutney dishes that were full of zest and spice — and they set the tone beautifully for what was to come. The curries were rich, deeply flavoured, and showcased a beautiful balance of spice and comfort.  Highlights included: • Incredible tandoori meats and kebabs with that authentic char from the tandoor oven.  • A vibrant banana leaf thali, served with rice, curries, and accompaniments — a feast in both flavour and presentation.  • A drinks list that complements the food perfectly, with creative cocktails, classic options, and refreshing mocktails.  Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely added to the overall experience — you can tell the team takes pride in hospitality as much as they do in the food.  If you love Indian cuisine that’s authentic at heart yet playful and contemporary on the plate, Bibi Ji is a standout in Melbourne’s dining scene. We’ll absolutely be back — and can’t recommend this place highly enough!
