Sam Todorovic Its only taken us 12 months since living in Melbourne to find a top Italian restaurant. Could not fault a thing. The service was excellent and quick. The food was excellent and generous portions. My partner had ricotta and spinach cannelloni which was delicious. I had the spaghetti marinara in Napoli sauce, again delicious. We shared the bruschetta, rocket salad and a Tiramisu plus 3 lemon granitas. Could not fault a thing with any of it. Highly recommend and we will be coming back regularly.

Lisa Giusti Gestri Located in the former Italian district, Carlton, the DOC Osteria is still providing Italian food! The staff is truly Italian as the food servede. So, if you are ready to taste genuine Italian food, this is the place to go. Then, if you are still hungry, you can buy (next door) delicious food to bring home too. It could be busy, noisy, and a bit expensive but you won’t be disappointed!

Barry Went to the pop up store last week for the limited edition Le Cafe Latte pastry and also ordered the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio croissant. The Le Cafe Latte was very tasty and was not too sweet; it has a number of layers which included whipped vanilla cream dusted with cocoa powder, coffee cream, salted caramel, coffee custard and roasted hazelnut pieces which worked well together. As for the Dubai Pistachio pastry, it was definitely on the sweeter side with the generous amount of pistachio spread and the thick chocolate top but was nonetheless tasty with a cup of coffee. Also enjoyed the texture from the flaky croissant layers and the crunchy kadaifi.

Georgia Webster Food is consistently amazing - would highly recommend the Thai green curry. Staff is always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cosy and a great place for a date night. It’s easily accessible and not hard to find a park near the place!

Chocci We were in the area and made a last minute booking, restaurant was accommodating and managed to get us a table for 4 in the wine room. We opted for the chefs menu x 3, and we were stuffed by the end of the meal. Serving size was really generous and kitchen was so accommodating for one guest with dairy allergy providing a separate portion omitting dairy elements for some courses. Our two servers were warm, friendly and attentive and ambiance was relaxed. Highlighted was definitely the focaccia, even though served warm and not piping hot it was still one of the best we’ve ever had. The squid ink pasta with skull island prawns was another stand out dish, full of prawn flavour and topped with prawn (shell) dust for crunchy element. The rump cap was slightly on the tough side (though beautifully cooked) but the gorgeous sauce and extremely crispy potatoes made up for it. They kindly served us a celebratory sparkling when they heard we were pre-celebrating our anniversary (and a bday!). Will definitely be back!

Sarah T Wani, Mel, Giorgio and the team at Ms Frankies are an absolute dream. I had been here a few times and loved the food and the atmosphere, so decided to have my wedding here. Best decision I made! The team was so accommodating with all that I had asked and they captured the very essence of how I envisioned the day; love, warmth and full stomachs! (This may be the first wedding we had takeaway containers; I dont think I had seen wedding guests so excited!) The food was incredible as always with the freshest seafood, but the highlight was the whole team that were so attentive and professional. It feels like Im coming home to family ♥️

The Nik Take Super Norma delivers delicious, comforting food with bold Italian flavours. The vibe is casual, and the quality is consistently high. Great place to relax and enjoy a hearty meal. Top picks: Garlic Bread, Fresco Pasta, Super Norma pasta dishes. Friendly service and great portions make this a solid neighbourhood favourite.

Brenda K Whole family enjoyed the meals which were all very tasty. Salmon sushi bowl, cold soba dishes, salmon sushi and chicken katsu curry don were all of good quality. The double tea ice creams were the highlight. It is rare that my husband wants up revisit a place for meals and he already made up his mind this was a restaurant at would return to before he even finished his meal. Sake options also really awesome and good value (go for the flight of 5)

Samuel Baker Premium fine dining experience! The 10 course banquet is an absolute delight. Each course meticulously prepared, and our server introduced each with great insight into the regional inspiration.

Bonnie We shared a selection of delicious dishes and really enjoyed the zucchini flowers, aged rump steak & bonito. There was a small issue with the zucchini flower, so the staff kindly didnt charge us for them and offered our table a complimentary dessert! The staff were all friendly & helpful when we were unsure what to order. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!
