Cervo - Food VIC

5 /5 Judah Ayling: Cervo is a beautiful restaurant and has quickly become our favourite place to eat in the city. The setting is fantastic, with the option to dine indoors or outdoors. The last three times we’ve visited over the past couple of months we’ve chosen to sit outside, which is incredibly relaxing by the Yarra. Every meal we’ve had has been exceptional, with great flavours and presentation each time. The wait staff are brilliant—friendly, attentive and professional, which really adds to the experience. If you’re looking for a relaxed, high-quality place to eat in the city, Cervo is definitely worth visiting.

2 /5 Charlie Kingsley: Ive been here before and loved it, Me and my boyfriend decided to go back but it was incredibly disappointing. We were seated and ordered our drinks and starter, drinks were nice bruschetta was bleh, grainy tomatoes and not much flavour, we then ordered our mains, the gnocchi was chewy but floury at the same time and tasted of throw up, i had one bite and couldn’t eat anymore it was inedible, my partner ordered a steak. He asked for medium rare, it was medium well. Tough chewy and flavourless considering you’re paying $64 u would expect better, potato’s had zero flavour and where undercooked didn’t even bother trying the broccolini, the waitress noticed we weren’t touching our food and staff was quick to apologise and didn’t charge us for the mains, I did also start feeling unwell after the bite of gnocchi and was asked if I needed medical attention which I highly appreciate. The poor quality food has nothing to do with the nice staff, unfortunately the chefs are making the restaurant unpleasant.

4 /5 Lizzy Patrinos: the pumpkin ravioli was out of this world. way better than expected. the rib eye and the bruschetta to me were not special especially considering we spent $200 for two people for 2 mains one entree and a dessert but the pasta was really special and Im not even a big pasta person. service was good, the waitress helped me and answered all my annoying questions. She was lovely. the atmosphere was nice.

4 /5 Mario Botakis: Group of 6 for dinner, positives were the staff, attentive, friendly and gave a great service, the food on the other hand was met with mixed reviews, I had the seafood marinara with spaghetti, in all honesty it lacked flavour, the clams were tiny, mussels were ok, calamari was super tender but the sauce was bland $46 . The boneless grilled half chicken was nice , grilled lamb $48 was totally unseasoned, the risotto as rice with sauce, which is not a good thing, we also got warm olives which were nice and plentiful, but the garlic and cheese pizza was also bland,drink selection is good and reasonably priced. Overall Id say its still a nice non formal venue, do book a table as it gets busy.

5 /5 Fran: Got lucky with a great table just by walking in on a busy Saturday night in January. Ordered the special lobster risotto and vegetarian ravioli. Sooo delicious and value for money. Great friendly staff!!
