1 /5 J D: The restaurant is clean and the staff we did interact with were polite and friendly. Service itself was good, however it was early in the day (12 noon) and there seemed to be a lack of attention, likely because staff had a lot to manage at that time. We did find ourselves needing to repeatedly try to get someone’s attention or physically look for staff when we needed assistance. Given that you’ve invested in a robot server, it might really help to install a service bell for customers.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The kimchi stew had raw zucchini added, which didn’t work. When I raised this with staff, they didn’t seem to understand what I was referring to or what zucchini was. The cold noodles were also very bland, overloaded with overcooked noodles and had very little soup. When I asked for vinegar to add to the cold noodles, I was given a bowl of radish vinegar from a side dish that had been soaking in it and some American mustard?
Overall, the experience became uncomfortable and disappointing, to the point where I decided to leave. It didn’t feel like I was dining in a proper Korean restaurant, which was disappointing given how the restaurant is presented and advertised.
I appreciate the effort behind the concept and genuinely want to support local businesses. The place has potential, which is why today’s experience was disappointing. Hopefully improvements can be made moving forward.
