Joel Davison Haiku is hands-down our favourite local Japanese café. The food is beautifully authentic, fresh, flavourful, and consistently amazing, but what really makes this place special is the people. The entire team is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they go above and beyond every single visit. They always remember us when we walk in, which makes every visit feel personal and genuinely special. Snow is absolutely wonderful: warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. He always makes us feel welcome and looked after, and he made my wife feel especially celebrated on her birthday, something we’ll always be grateful for. Zoe is fantastic too, friendly, thoughtful, and part of what makes the whole atmosphere feel so inviting. Haiku isn’t just a café to us anymore; it feels like a little home away from home. Anneliese This cafe provides a great spread of brunch dishes and has many sandwiches and baked goods in the window. I had the smashed avocado which was fresh and loved the feta on top. Both the caesar and calamari salad was very flavourful and filling. I also enjoyed a sweet treat of a peanut butter brownie that was fudgy and soft. Coffee was very smooth and tasty. Staff are very friendly and dish portions are generous.

David Have been to this cozy little restaurant a few times and never had a bad meal. Service was fast, and the prices affordable. Also has a specials menu that rotates each month.

Lu “Ins&Tk:deliciousdownunder” Great Vietnamese spot in Carnegie with a fusion twist! The menu isn’t just pho—try the steak pasta, soft shell crab bao, and creative desserts. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious. I loved the hot stone pho ribs—it’s interactive and super flavorful. The drinks and smoothies are refreshing, especially the lychee and durian options. Perfect for any group size, quick service, and a fun dining experience. Definitely coming back!

Lachlan McKillop Loved every minute: the food was to die for. The best I’ve had in Melbourne. Wait staff were cheerful and helpful whilst still giving us time to chat. Servings are generous. The venue isn’t fun dining, admittedly but you get everything you would expect. 5 stars

H L The food was amazing, the crunchy fried shrimp melted in my mouth and the caviar popped onto your tongue releasing many delicious flavours. The waiters were kind and polite, and the atmosphere was great. 5 stars!

Shai N I have no idea about the restaurant because I just got a takeaway on doordash of their mutton biriyani. I must admit it was quite tasty and flavourful alongside the raita and salan. It was not something I have tasted before but good enough for me to provide a review. I will hopefully visit the restaurant one day.

Sahel Tenace A fantastic local no-fuss, no frills, family run restaurant. The beef phô is amazing and has a great depth of flavour. The beef strips are melt in your mouth! The Thai style beef with rice is also very yummy - my personal tip would be to ask for some basil on the side and add it in as it cuts through and compliments the sweet sauce quite nicely :) Great value and great quality overall. its more of a takeaway than dine in and seats are limited but they are always packed and have a fast enough turn around.

Vignesh Muthusubramanian Great Pizza. Being a vegetarian its hard to find good pizzas in Melbourne. You can really tell the ingredients are good quality. Great option for vegetarians and easily one of the better pizzas I’ve had in the area. Sandhya was lovely and super helpful with customising the pizza, which made the whole experience even better. Will definitely be back.

D Liauw Lovely traditional authentic Korean restaurant with a unique menu. Had the Bibimbap and sweet and sour chicken was great. Thank you for a wonderful meal and the complementary dessert.
