1 /5 luxxy rin: Beef pho:
The beef was very dry. The noodles were undercooked. The soup was okay but very salty and had a strong MSG taste.
Tom yum noodle soup:
The noodles were fine, but the soup was very bland. It had almost no colour and barely tasted like tom yum. We did ask for mild spice, which may be why, but it still lacked flavour. The prawns were chewy and slightly fishy.
Pork dumplings (pan-fried):
The first batch came out badly burnt and was inedible. We asked for them to be remade, and the staff were kind and happy to do so. The second batch was better, but still had a few burnt dumplings.
Service:
The staff were very nice and polite. This is a takeaway place, so tap water isn’t provided. Bottled water costs around $3–$4. They did give us extra plates to share, which we appreciated.
Overall:
Good service, but the food was disappointing and not something I would recommend. They also offer a free pack of prawn crackers for leaving a good review, which may explain their high rating (around 4.7 stars when I saw today). Based on our experience, the food did not match that rating.
