Thomas J. R. What a delightful cafe. Highly recommended for everyone who wants awesome and friendly service, delicious food and great coffee. This café has it all. I am very impressed with it. And will definitely be back to try everything on their menu. Today I had the Kaiser Benny. So good.

Alvin Kh Jorge’s Café is easily one of the best spots around my workplace, and I have been visiting it regularly for over a year. From the moment you walk in, the staff make you feel genuinely welcome. They are always friendly, smiling, and happy to have a short conversation, which creates a positive and energetic atmosphere, especially during busy mornings. One big advantage is that they open quite early, which is perfect for early starters. They offer a good variety of food options every day for both breakfast and lunch, with choices available for dine in or takeaway. Although I have not personally dined in, there is plenty of seating available. During lunchtime it gets very busy, but the team manages the rush impressively well and the waiting time remains reasonable. The food availability changes everyday, so there is always something different to try. I once ordered takeaway catering for our staff, and they prepared a selection of stews, rice, pasta, salads, and potato cakes. Overall, the food was tasty and well received by everyone. Some dishes were slightly oily, but they were still enjoyable and delicious. Their sandwiches are also excellent. My personal favourite is the salami sandwich with eggplant, zaatar, olives, feta cheese, and tomato relish, which they offer daily and is consistently good. The coffee is another strong point. It is good quality, prepared quickly, and clearly popular with regular customers. Overall, Jorge’s Café is a reliable and well run place with great staff, good food variety, and a welcoming vibe. It is an excellent option for both a quick coffee and a satisfying meal during the workday.

Vilashi Rangani Found this place by accident and it turned out to be a nice surprise. The food tasted really authentic. Short eats like cutlets and fish rolls were yummy. There were some Indian food as well and those dishes also gave Sri Lankan vibes. Portions were good and filling. I didn’t enjoy the kottu and fried rice as much as the rest, but overall the food felt clean and not too heavy. The best thing is it seems like they don’t overuse MSG. Overall a good, casual spot for tasty South Asian food. Worth a try!

Ryan Holten-harding Cant fault this shop one bit! already know the kebabs are the best!! But had the burger and falafel and far out defintely satisfying well cooked and this fella to open his second shop that tells you his food is the best will definetly be going back. got nothing but respect and clean shop! Stop reading the reviews and get ya butt in there for a good feed.

Michael Babiĉ This place always have great staff on duty..they will serve you with respect and every time regardless if is very late at night always deliver..hats of to manager...Many times i stopped for burger after late night working at tennis matches ..there are limited choices..if i dont feel like go to Laygon street Carlton, I end up In Little Boundary road Laverton North, half way home..Last week i was there after 22 h...2 police officers enjoying cofee..i have seen them many times there..it must be popular, because Millers road have Macca and i beleive this is Altona police officers with 2 SUV..There you go , Lav North 1, Altona 0...

Mei N Amazing pasta. Great flavour and texture. The service was warm, friendly and fast. Will definitely be back again. Also recommend the antipasto plate - the prosciutto and salami were excellent

Samuel Cox I can’t believe it has taken us this long to discover Salamatea/Kababi in our local area. A hidden gem, tucked away in an industrial area, more people need to know about this place. We came for a Saturday lunch and ordered Kashk e Bademjan for starters and then Kebab Torsh & Chicken Fesenjun for mains. The meat was delicious and the flavours of the rice and condiments turned it into a deliciously fresh and satisfying meal. Accompanied by a Persian Latte which combined the flavours of saffron & cinnamon; it was delicious. The wait staff were so friendly and attentive, they even began playing “Googoosh” on the music speakers which really tied the whole experience together (much better than mainstream music you hear at every other cafe). We will definitely be returning. Highly Recommend.

Daniel Hume Such a lovely discovery and so unassuming. Food was delicious and inventive. I don’t really enjoy noisy environments when eating so Nina’s was the perfect fit. A tad cold inside, but hey it’s winter. Couldn’t fault the food or the staff who were accomodating, quiet and attentive. Highly recommended for those who like interesting flavour profiles. Definitely be returning to this beauty that boasts a stunning menu.
