5 /5 Candice Vitug: Had dinner with a friend here, the food is SO GOOD. We had the Chicken Medallion and Makedonka with Moscato to sip. Its like what other people said: it has a cosy village vibe. The owners are from the town Kaneo themselves which gives it that authenticity! They served bread and water at the table first. Theres vinegar and olive oil and chilli flakes on the side as well.

1 /5 Caithlin Power: We have been intrigued by this restaurant for years and decided to check it out for dinner. We walked in and the place was half full so we had moderately high hopes. And then we waited. And waited. And no staff member came to greet us, so we approached the bar. The staff member barely looked up from his phone but smiled and pointed to a table we could sit at. We sat. We waited. Five minutes passed and then two menus were handed to us. We’d barely had time to review the menu before the staff member returned to take our order. Our food and wine came out relatively quickly, hence the two stars, and the other guests seemed to be having a pleasant time. The wine was barely drinkable. The food, barely edible, except for the potato side dish which was absolutely delicious and saved the meal! The meat platter contained reheated portions of meat. The grilled cheese was an inch thick. The salad contained unwashed lettuce. The calamari was dry. The entire meal was so so salty and we were not offered nor served any water so we had to guzzle the wine to quench our thirst. It wasn’t cheap. Just very disappointing. Would not recommend. Would prefer my mother’s cooking. She cannot cook.

5 /5 Forkin’ Opinions: Our local Macedonian kafana / restaurant. Some nights they have live music too. The food is wholesome village food that reminds me of my mums cooking and brings me back to living a few of my childhood years in Macedonia. Great vibe, atmosphere and service too. Highly recommended if you’re after a big Macedonian feast.
