Tracey Ford This is a great little Thai restaurant. The food is always so fresh, tasty and amazing. A lot of options on the menu ranging from entrees through to mains. Absolutely recommend the rotti with satay sauce, chicken curry puffs, crispy chicken wings, Pad See Ew and Tom yum fried rice. Staff are always happy and smiling. Small dining area inside and out, recommend booking ahead. Definitely worth a visit.

SalmonSashimiMermaid Came here for the halifax lobster roll, and they did not disappoint! Buttery and juicy lobster on a soft and light butter-brushed brioche bun (+ a sprinkle of chilli oil as a complement upon my request!) And no kidding, that burger stole the entire show! Every bite is just packed with juice and flavor. Good thing we tried that one too! Easily one of the best burgers we’ve had!

Greta Witkowski Had lunch at Ćevapi Grill in South Melbourne today and it was absolutely amazing! The ćevapi were juicy and full of flavour, the bread was fresh, and the staff were so friendly. Such an authentic and delicious experience, can’t wait to come back!

MEL Foodie Nice Asian fusion restaurant in town. The aged duck for main and squid salad are devine. Cosy place to catch up with friends or date. Make sure you look carefully for the restaurant as the entrance is quite hidden and easy to miss on Flinders Lane.

Jeremy Barker Great location- had an awesome table looking over the river. The cocktails were all amazing- happy hour is great from 4-6:30pm. Had some tapas which also were tasty and great price

Regaleatsmelb Delivering unapologetically authentic Vietnamese flavours with genuinely stacked portions, from an intense, aromatic chicken pho to a Viet egg coffee that tastes straight out of Hanoi. Opting not to follow the masses in ordering a banh mi but instead trying a chicken pho and pork belly bowl, I was impressed by the amount of meat each dish provided. Even the duck bao came with enough duck and then some. Compared to the chicken and flat noodle combo in the pho, I wish I had opted for chicken in the bowl too because for me the pork belly was a little too fatty and just didnt have the omph of the chicken. The Viet Egg Coffee tasted traditional and my friend promises that the matcha latte is a good one. Its not trying to be trendy, just busy being excellent and my new South Melbourne Market food hall fav.

Kevin Matthew Hearty and satisfying noodle dishes with very generous portions and various toppings like meatballs, eggs, crispy wontons, and smashed fried chicken with sambal. The fried batagor also reminds me of the classic Bandung-style street food, complementing the noodle dishes nicely. The flavors are rich and comforting, perfect when craving for Indonesian food. Overall, a great spot to come hungry and enjoy a filling meal.

BA • Southgate offers a great variety of food and café options—something I found surprisingly rare for a mall in Melbourne • Clean, well-maintained walkways and restrooms with proper amenities • Lovely riverside views, especially if you grab takeaway and eat at the nearby park benches • A great spot to wait or meet up if you’ve booked a river cruise • Features a small, charming bookshop along with a few cute souvenir stores

Bradley Posselt I was in need of a venue for a corporate function our business was organising and we were looking for a venue in the Southbank area of Melbourne. I came across Southbank Melbourne Venues’ website and they had several suitable venues. I contacted them and they got back to me with various different options to choose from. It was really simple and we booked the function the next day. The event turned out to be a great success and we plan on using some of their other venues in the future. The customer service we received from Geoff was excellent.
