4 /5 J T G Nielsen: The newest addition to the Toorak dining scene. Overall a cosy environment that is great to meet friends at. The wooden floors do all though make it rather noisy if there is a group. Upstairs offers a more intimate atmosphere and even a wine cellar room!
The food in general was tasty, slightly pricey, especially the desserts, but hey welcome to Toorak Village!!! The French fries were excellent as was my Tuna and our friend’s pasta. Service was a strange mix of trying to be cool, but then getting a few orders wrong, but still in general friendly! The wine list is nice, again on the pricey side for wines by the glass, but if you buy by the bottle it’s ok!
I still am not sure why an Australian restaurant needs to serve sparkling water from Italy….the carbon footprint and general madness of transporting water across continents and changing $10 for a bottle simply doesn’t make sense, when we have plenty of good sparkling water here!
Overall as stated it’s a nice relaxing experience and I am happy to return!!
Cheers
