5 /5 Khalid Amin: Amazing, cosy ambiance as you walk in. Great warm customer service. Food was great. It was easy to find a parking spot nearby although it was paid parking. Highly recommended.

5 /5 Sharon Pamamull: We have ordered Uber Eats and had dine in here and have to say both were outstanding experiences. The food was delicious both ordering takeaway and actually eating at the restaurant. The grilled chicken was a standout dish for us, being juicy, tender and grilled to perfection. We also loved the vine leaves which were obviously freshly made. We also enjoyed the lamb pizza, dips and the rice. When we dined in we were offered a delicious Turkish delight tea. It really ended a beautiful evening at what has to be one of the most atmospheric restaurants in Chapel Street. The interior and friendly ndly staff made us feel so welcome and looked after. Very rare these days. Instantly became a new favourite for us. Our takeaway order also included some free Turkish delight and it was perfect. 10/10

2 /5 Yasmine Z: My partner and I came here for dinner for his birthday. We were down in Melbourne for one night. I made note on the booking that we were flying in for one night and it was his birthday. We ordered the dolma, baked eggplant and bread for entree. The vine leaves were nice but just as nice as a can from the supermarket. The baked eggplant just tasted like tomato paste. It was so plain and bland we had to add salt and pepper. But we still didn’t finish it. For mains we ordered the mixed grill & manti. (We added an extra cutlet & kofta to the mixed grill) The meat was very tasty but would love some type of dip or sauce on the side to eat with it. It did have rice and salad on the side. The meat inside the manti was delicious and so flavourful but the sauce was again, very average. The cocktails were very nice. At the end of the night we were full but unsatisfied. We love Turkish food but this was not it. The staff did not acknowledge my partners bday or that we flew in and had dinner in their restaurant. Overall disappointed and very underwhelmed.

5 /5 Esther Lau: Craving Turkish food after a trip there. This place did not disappoint. The flavors & texture profiles of the Manti, pedi, lamb fillet skewers were very similar. The desserts- kunefe & trileche weren’t as sweet as the original (but appreciated), definitely order a Turkish tea or coffee with it!

1 /5 Josh Junior: I ordered through Uber Eats, and the food arrived leaking, damaged, and totally inedible. The entire bag was soaked with spilled soup because they had used flimsy salad containers for liquid dishes. Everything was mixed together ! hot food, cold drinks, all in one bag. That’s not just bad service, that’s a clear food safety violation. When I called the restaurant, the person on the phone tried to blame the delivery driver, saying maybe he dropped the bag. But what he doesn’t seem to understand is that you don’t need to drop a bag when your packaging is already unfit for liquid food. If you’re serving soup or anything with sauce, you must use leak-proof, standard containers, that’s the bare minimum for any restaurant. Even the Uber driver confirmed that Marmara packed everything in one bag using the wrong containers. This shows carelessness and zero understanding of food safety. Avoid this place at all costs. You’ll end up cleaning your kitchen instead of enjoying your meal.
