Ms Jackson Restaurant & Bar - Food VIC

4 /5 Chasing Pastry: We enjoyed our experience at Ms Jackson. The restaurant had a really nice vibe of elevated but not pretentious and the service from all the staff was very friendly. Meals also came out fast despite it being quite busy on our visit. I really enjoyed the cocktails and desserts in particular. We found the portions quite generous in size and much of the menu lends itself to sharing. Seasoning tended to be on the saltier side that I personally really enjoyed, but my friend felt was slightly overdone for their taste. I would say pricing is on the higher side, but the portion sizes and quality of ingredients made it not unreasonably so either. However, I would have loved to have seen a touch more attention to detail in the presentation of some of the dishes for the price point. They also have specials on throughout the week and Id love to go back for pasta night ($35 for pasta and a glass of house wine). I will say as a vegetarian my options were fairly limited (e.g. only one main size dish was veg friendly), though there were sufficient smaller dishes that there was still plenty to eat. The tiramisu was probably the standout for us, it had a good coffee hit and being plated at the table was a nice touch.

5 /5 wenjing wu: The focaccia with lemon butter was so fresh and chewy—perfect for starting off. The tuna tartare on toast was really tasty, zesty, and I instantly wanted more. The market fish was simple but delicious, crispy skin and super tender inside. And the O’Connor sirloin? Cooked medium, tender, with buttery potatoes and red wine jus—absolutely nailed it.

5 /5 Nicholas Siemensma: Went here for a date night and was extremely enjoyable. The cocktails were fantastic, mixed it up and every one was delicious. The food was beautiful and left us filled up! Sat in the back area with open roof which is a nice way to do it. Will definitely be back.
