1 /5 Natasha xo: I recently visited Nando’s at Marriott Waters and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience with the customer service. When it was my turn to order, I politely asked if the chicken could be cut into 8 pieces. The staff member with blond hair and glasses responded firmly, thanking me but stating that they were not allowed to do that — the tone and manner in which she spoke made me feel as though I was being treated as less important.
Shortly after, a separate group placed a large order, which resulted in a significant delay — around 1 to 1.5 hours — for other customers waiting for chicken. Instead of addressing the situation discreetly, the same staff member pointed to the group and said loudly, “These people have wiped us out — they ordered all the chicken, which is why there will be a delay.”
The entire interaction felt unprofessional and unnecessarily confrontational. I couldn’t help but feel there may have been some bias or discrimination, both towards myself and possibly the other group, who were from a different background. I believe all customers deserve to be treated with equal respect, regardless of who they are.
