Bianca Spooner The saganaki souvalaki is absolutely umami rich delicious and beautifully presented. Filled with a modern vibrant fresh salad, tsaziki sauce, the perfect amount of fried cheese and very fresh crisp soft pita bread. I sometimes get it with 2 falafel as well if really hungry which is really good. A favourite treat meal in the Preston Thornbury Northcote area.

Isme Restaurant - VIC

Soph S We celebrated our 25th anniversary here and came out with full and satisfied bellies. Food was worth every penny and there wasn’t anything that we didn’t like. Cocktails are a must here as they have some of the best concoctions and if you love prawns, I highly recommend their “prawn fatteh” dish; fresh, juicy succulent prawns; with flavours that I can’t even describe, but I could happily eat that for the rest of my life. The place has a very chilled & relaxed atmosphere and all their staff were very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back to explore their other food options and most likely order another round of “prawn fatteh”.

Little Tienda Thornbury - Coffee Cafe | Mexican Breakfast Cafe in Thornbury - VIC

Derwin Or DOG FRIENDLY Nice and comfortable backyard style little Mexican cafe/restaurant. I got the pulled pork burrito with a Mexican mango soda. Burrito had a nice kick of spice and flavour. Neatly wrapped and bonus points for not dripping oil. Oni (dog) thoroughly enjoyed the attention received from the staff who came to say hi and brought him a water bowl. They were happy to have him despite being wet after a morning paddle.

Barton Fink - VIC

David Lin Excellent bar and kitchen, with a lay back atmosphere relatively quiet when we went there around 5pm. The place to heat up the later into the night. We had some food there, pork ribs and Chicken Parma. Served with excellent salads and Diced Potatoes and Chips respectively. They both were cooked really well, and washed down fine with the house beer.

Le Café Flo - VIC

Amilliah I visited Le Café Flo in Thornbury for lunch and loved the Parisian atmosphere, the menus made out of old record covers. It feels like a little corner of France right on High Street. I had a crepe with lemon and sugar. While it was only one flat piece, it was still pleasant, delicate, buttery, and with just enough lemon tang. Not over fancy, but done well, and it hit the spot for something light and sweet. Service was warm and attentive. I was seated indoors, but there’s both indoor and outdoor seating, which gives the place a nice flexibility whether the weather’s good or not. Le Café Flo feels like a cozy spot to linger, good for casual meetups or treating yourself. I’ll definitely come back to try more from their menu (maybe a galette or a more filled crepe next time), because the food, ambiance, and experience are lovely.
