5 /5 Aditi Dhurka: Red Door Corner Café in Northcote delivered one of the warmest and most memorable breakfast experiences we’ve had in a long time. The space is beautifully minimalistic, calm, welcoming, and clearly designed with quality in mind. The food was outstanding, with beautifully balanced portions and incredible attention to detail. We ordered the shakshuka, zucchini, corn & quinoa fritter, and a crumpet, and every single dish was excellent. Even the condiments stood out, to name some, the house-made raspberry jam, French butter, and green chilli oil were absolutely scrumptious. Everything was so thoughtfully prepared, well made, and deeply satisfying. There are many excellent vegetarian options to choose from, which we really appreciated. Even the display cabinet filled with small treats and pastries was tempting and beautifully presented. The staff was so friendly, warm, and welcoming. They truly elevate the entire experience. Bonus points for plenty of off-street parking, making the visit easy and stress-free. We only wish we had more days in Melbourne to pay another visit. A truly amazing breakfast and a café well worth seeking out.

Visited plenty of times, consistently fantastic food and great customer service that goes above and beyond most other places in this area. A very cozy vibe overall, however when its busy it can get a bit loud and overstimulating given the seating layout - especially when other patrons bring along their crying children. I highly recommend any of their breakfast items as well as the burger. The tarts are also spot-on in terms of crust and filling and are always best when you can get them while theyre fresh! The prices are balanced and reflect the effort that is put into each menu item, as well as their premium quality of ingredients. They also have great options for high-protein lovers and its a great spot for post-workout nourishment! A few small notes for improvement though - The double espresso can sometimes be quite watery and acidic, which is understandable given the peak coffee-rush on most mornings which leads to a higher running temperature of the machine. The cold brew has also sometimes tasted a bit mossy due to either the water that was used during production, or fridge/open air oxidation, or perhaps the overall flavour profile of the beans that are used. Some refinement on these items would make them amazing for the coffee purist crowd! As someone with heightened social anxiety, I thank you for being so hospitable and lovely towards myself and my family. The positive attitudes, attention and effort from the staff is always greatly appreciated.

5 /5 M. Tamizkar: Had a fantastic experience at Red Corner Store Cafe in Northcote! The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. Every staff member who served us was attentive and friendly, with a special shoutout to Lily, who looked after our table. Her warm smile, polite manner, and professional attitude truly made our day and are reason enough for us to return. There was also another young lady in a white T-shirt and apron who brought our coffee – unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but her friendly service added to the great experience. I ordered the Dukkah Eggs and a large strong latte, both of which were absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly seasoned, and the coffee was spot on – couldn’t have asked for more! Highly recommend Red Corner Store Cafe for anyone looking for excellent food and impeccable service in a cozy, welcoming space. We’ll definitely be back soon!

We live many klms away, but make the trip especially…staff genuinely friendly and helpful , food great quality and different… not wacky different but a twist on a favourite. The atmosphere, music and decor is just chilled and you can hear your table buddy talk… Absolutely love it .do yourself a favour. P.s. not many things in life deserve 5 stars … this no bullshit red door does

True, everything feels more expensive in Melbourne, but here you feel like you are getting a genuine bargain for the quality.A small heads-up on the logistics: there is no dedicated parking, so you will need to park on the street. However, the café is conveniently located on a corner, giving you two different streets where you can search for a spot, which is a small but definite advantage in a busy area.Overall, the Red Door Corner Stone Cafe is a fantastic choice for excellent coffee, a surprisingly refined Wagyu burger, and a stress-free environment for socializing.
