Marios - VIC

Harry Zachariou We had a late lunch early dinner at Marios the other day. Why has it taken us this long to discover this little gem! If it’s 5 star silver service you want then Marios is not for you! If it’s authentic Italian food served by the most knowledgeable wait staff mixed with a relaxed atmosphere then you have struck the jackpot! The place has been running since the 80’s and by the same bloke, Mario! Some of the staff have been there since opening so that in itself is a story! The food was excellent and the servings very generous. Go on do your self a favour and pop in in for lunch or dinner, Marios will not disappoint!

Jims Greek Tavern - VIC

Joshua Knackstredt We loved our visit to Jim’s Greek Tavern. Our waiter George went out of his way to accommodate the kids - and the food, which the restaurant selects for guests, was authentic and absolutely delicious ! Would definitely come back.

The Fitz Cafe & Rooftop Bar - VIC

Alvin Kh The Fitz Café and Rooftop has become one of my favourite spots in Fitzroy, and it is a place I always enjoy returning to. What makes it special is the rooftop area. It is not very large and it does not offer the most dramatic view, but it has a peaceful atmosphere and a relaxed vibe that makes it genuinely enjoyable to sit, eat, and unwind. The food is consistently impressive. The Caesar salad and steak sandwich were both excellent, and the chicken parma was very tasty as well. Everything I have tried has been well prepared with good flavours and generous portions. Their cocktails are also worth mentioning, as they are balanced, refreshing, and enjoyable. The service is another highlight. All the staff are friendly, polite, and welcoming. The person who manages the bar upstairs deserves a mention for his positive attitude and warm smile, which adds to the pleasant rooftop experience. The venue has several seating options including an outdoor area, a ground floor section, and a first floor, with the rooftop situated on the upper level. The only downside is the toilet situation. It is not as clean as expected, especially considering the size of the venue and the overall quality of the space. It is something that could be improved to match the rest of the experience. Overall, it is a fantastic spot with a great atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service. Despite the minor issue with the toilets, it remains one of my favourite places in the area.

Ritas Abbotsford - VIC

Sharanya Shantharam I know “might be the best pizzas I’ve ever had” sounds like an exaggeration but I’m not joking when I say that if not the, definitely a strong contender!! My friend took me here for dinner on Friday night and it was busy with just a short wait for a table (no booking made) ordered a couple of wines and the potato pizza (my fave!!) and the spicy pepperoni bases were cooked perfectly, flavours of the toppings were delicious, and food came out reasonably quick! also ordered the tiramisu as a little sweet treat and it did not disappoint would definitely come back!!

Deep End Pizza - VIC

Candice DiCenzo Would give this 6 stars if I could! As an American this pizza absolutely passes the test. Both NY and Chicago deep dish were authentic and true to their style, including actual american pepperoni. Takes a lot of skill to be able to offer so many styles of pizza and do it so well. The service was great. Will definitely be back.

Chotto Motto - Japanese Bar & Restaurant - VIC

Wade Kelly We went for the Sunday yum cha and chose the feed me option. For $59, we received several dishes, and each was delicious. Charred cabbage? Perfection. Fried chicken? Delectable. Every single dish was wonderful, and I can’t wait to go back. Price to quality to portion — five stars each. This is a great value with fantastic service and a very cool vibe. Just go.

Sir Charles - VIC

소주 I ordered several very innovative dishes, all of which incorporated Asian elements. From the seasoning to the ingredients, its obvious that this is a store that is constantly innovating. The bottom of the Benedict is not served with ordinary sourdough bread or croissants, but with Indian roti. Its the first time Ive tasted such a combination, and the texture is really different. The addition of red onion crisps makes the layers more rich. Another waffle with fried chicken was also amazing. The slightly salty fried chicken was paired with maple syrup, and the sweet and salty combination was just right. Recently, I was rewatching the Korean drama "Reply 1988", so I ordered Vienna Coffee. There was a coffee bean on top, and the proportion of cream, coffee and vanilla was just right. The taste was better than the very popular Vienna coffee I had in Seoul, not as greasy.
