Bayview Bistro - VIC

Ula M It was a lovely dinner. We visited here last night. There was a live band when we arrived, and I was surprised at how lovely the bistro is. It had very comfortable seats, there was a baby changing room, clean toilets, a nice play area for the kids (they also had a bouncy castle there), friendly staff and a lovely bar. Our food was to our satisfaction. The air con was a bit too high and we got really cold so we left early than we expected.

Window Cafe - VIC

Abubakari I Absolute amazing place to come for a hot and delicious freshly cooked meal. Located in a lifting shopping strip with plenty of parking. The owner was super friendly and such a helpful guide when exploring the menu. As first time customers he recommended meals to us and explained them well. The food was made fresh and was delicious. It did not take long to arrive at our table. The owner was friendly and professional the whole time explaining how to go about eating and adding to the soup to better suite our taste. The whole experience was amazing and leaves you wanting to come back for more. Will defiantly be coming back and I would highly recommend it when you have time to stop by!

Chatkoras - VIC

Rakshanda Gautam I was really craving delhi food but very specific delhi flavour too. And no matter where I have been I always thought something about the flavour was not right at other places. We travelled for almost 40-50 minutes with the hope that this place might be different and OH MY GOD! I was right to come here. The aaloo tikki had the right flavour, the live gol gappe counter was amazing and the pindi chole were really good, the bhature could be better. But overall it exceeded my expectations. I took some rasmalai and white rasgulle home and everyone loved it too. I just wish it wasn’t as far. But definitely recommend to anyone who wants authentic delhi flavours.

El Sheik - VIC

Danna Zh This Lebanese grill platter was a true delight. The grilled lamb chops were succulent and tender, with a wonderful smoky char on the outside that sealed in the rich, savory flavors. The real star for me was the kafta – the blend of finely minced meat, fresh parsley, and warm spices like cumin and allspice was absolutely perfect. It was juicy, fragrant, and had a beautiful texture. A deeply satisfying and authentic culinary journey

BAM Street Food - VIC

Christopher Wu Bam Street Food in Altona has been on my radar for a while and it definitely did not disappoint. I’ve been smashing a lot of smash burgers lately, and this one sits in the upper echelon for sure. On the day I went, the beef had a proper crispy edge around the patty — exactly what you want from a smash. The middle could’ve been slightly juicier, but it was still very solid overall, and the sauce absolutely carried it home. It balanced everything out and made up for any slight dryness in the centre. Also tried the chicken burger, which I think is a bit overlooked. It’s done with pieces rather than a full fillet — I know some people prefer whole fillets, but personally I like fillets for that consistent crunch and moisture. That said, this was still really good. I got the Nashville coating and the dusting was necessary — gave it that extra flavour kick. There are naturally thinner bits around the edges where you get slightly less chicken per bite, but overall it holds up well. Still, it’s hard to go past that crispy beef on the Bam signature burger — that’s the hero. The shoestring chips were solid too. Just your classic thin-cut style, but whatever seasoning they use tasted familiar in a nostalgic way — like something I’ve had before that always hits. Simple but done right. Overall, Bam is doing smash burgers properly. Definitely one of the better ones I’ve had recently.

Oye Bombay - VIC

Bere G We ordered here twice. The first time I had the goan fish curry and it was amazing (5/5) Yesterday I ordered lamb rogan josh and it was inedible. I appreciated all the spices but it was extremely salty that even mixing it with rice or dipping our cheese and garlic naan didnt help. I usually always have to add seasoning and salt to my orders because I over-season everything.. but I never experienced anything like this.

Saigon Sun - VIC

Ukey Absolutely lovely atmosphere, very warm and cozy and really feels like you are in the early 2000s. I would recommend this establishment without a doubt and beat, the food was amazing and the couple that have been running it for the last 21 years are both lovely people. Please give this place a shot, i recommend the beef stew with their in house made roti bread.

Vietnamese Rolls & Roasts - VIC

Ebony Zappone Cafe cabin has an amazing vibe with a lot of style. From the second you open that orange door you are greeted by a unique Chinese statue; once you walk past the statue you will come across the statement wall...a graffiti mural of a women (day of the dead themed) and OMG its absolutely stunning! The menu is short and concise and has most of your normal brunch options. The food was clean and tasty, exactly what I was expecting from this menu. Overall my experience was very positive and Id be more than happy to return. Keep up the good work guys!

Tinas Dumpling House - VIC

Tammy Jha My family and I had a delightful morning at Altona Beach, and to top it off, we decided to visit Tinas Dumplings House. The sunny weather and the beach setting already set a fantastic backdrop for our meal. We were in for a treat! At Tinas Dumplings House, we ordered the Boiled Vegetable Dumplings with chili oil, and it was an absolute delight. The dumplings were perfectly cooked, with a delectable filling of fresh vegetables. The addition of chili oil added a spicy kick that elevated the flavor profile to another level. What impressed us even more was the reasonable price; it was an excellent value for the quality and taste we received. The combination of delicious dumplings and the serene Altona Beach atmosphere made this visit truly memorable. Tinas Dumplings House delivered an exceptional dining experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking tasty, affordable dumplings by the beach. Its a must-visit spot, and we left with contented smiles on our faces.
