mashin mahammud Such an amazing dining experience! From the moment we walked in, Diya was welcoming and attentive. The food was beautifully presented and tasted incredible-every dish was packed with flavour. The restaurant itself had a great vibe and was super clean. Rumah Aneka Restaurant - Highett - VIC

Nina Mo I returned after some time to the Rumah Aneka. Lovely people work here. There are a great Vegetarian options. I had beef rendang, my friend Gado Gado and both of us enjoyed delicious food with roti and coconut rice. Coconut water was vey refreshing. The restaurant is not licensed but you can bring your bottle of wine. We have dine on Thursday night and the restaurant was full. Its good to make booking, then to miss it. We shall return to the Rumah Aneka. After regular visits to Black Rock, where they use to be before many years, we have returned to this lovely family owned restaurant. Restaurant is not big and all tables have been occupied even on Thursday night. People who didnt book table have missed it. We happily did order their banquets for 4 and all did enjoy lovely entry of plan roti. satay chicken skewers with homemade satay sauce. Curry Puffs (Vegetarian/Homemade),. Spring Rolls (Vegetarian/Homemade)  and Prawn Dumplings. Main did include as per our choice Rendang beef, Singapore noodles, Sweet and spicy prawns, spinach, rice and  as dessert sago and ice cream.

Paradai Thai Highett - VIC

Angie Bee This was the first time I came to this locale of Paradai Thai. Its great. Its really nice inside (though small-ish), and has a separate entrance "behind the scenes" for Uber Eats and take out pick ups. The service here was good. They were quick and friendly and the food was delicious. The entree was admittedly quite small (chicken curry puffs) but they were tasty and the chicken fried rice was delicious. The chicken was so nice and tender and within reason, the food for everyone came out at the same time. I found this branch equally as good as their Elsternwick one, but even though this one is a further drive for me, I definitely liked the decor and ambience better here and the chairs are far more comfortable. I highly recommend Paradai Thai if you want a good meal out.

Monkey Can Fly Café - VIC

Elly Podiman We had a great value Friday night meal at Monkey Can Fly in Highett this evening. Authentic Chinese dumplings and yummy curry puffs to start. Followed with a tasty Malaysian beef curry and rice. We just caught the end of the Happy hour drink specials from 4-6pm. Will be back again soon.

Thai You Up restaurant - VIC

Shai N Such a little gem on that strip of Highett road. I wanted to try the $15 promotion and ordered the jungle phuket curry with rice. I was blown away by the flavours and for the price it was quite filling. The shop is simple and neatly decorated and the staff were nice too. They have a small open kitchen behind the counter and you can smell all the goodness on the wok. I think they do not have computer to send bills by email because the staff hand wrote the bill! I will suggest to check them out

Teos Pizza & Bar - Highett - VIC

Jonathan Tan Simple, unpretentious, casual, good food. Some of the words I’d use to sum up Teo’s. They’ve been awhile for awhile but we’ve only just managed to grab a bit there. Great food - the Carbonara is the PROPER AUTHENTIC stuff. Friendly staff, very accommodating. Great casual family diner for all ages.

Burger Road Highett - VIC

Daniel I first discovered Burger Road at their Fitzroy location back in 2021 and was instantly impressed. When I found out they’d opened in Highett – much closer to home – I was stoked. Four years on, they’re still serving up seriously good burgers at great prices. I had the Mooyahlicious and it absolutely delivered – mushrooms on a burger are so underrated. The Wagyu was tender, the flavours were spot-on, and every ingredient felt thoughtfully balanced. Consistently delicious and well worth the visit.

Chur Thai Restaurant - VIC

Steph G Since I used to live very close to Chur Thai, I would come here frequently. The first time, I came with colleagues and ordered the set menu for four, which was truly impressive. It started with shrimp chips served with warm peanut sauce—an unexpected but delicious combination. The appetizers, like the fried spring rolls and pastries, were very tasty, especially the golden bag, filled with juicy meat and corn. For the main course, the standout was the fried barramundi salad, which had a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors and a satisfying crunch. Other dishes like pad Thai, green curry, and moo yang BBQ weren’t exceptional but were reliably good. The meal ended with a hot drink and ice cream, making it a very satisfying experience. Afterward, I became a regular visitor. For two people, I recommend the set menu for two; it’s great value and always more than enough, often requiring takeaway. The ambiance in the restaurant is nice too, with many families dining together on weekends. During the COVID period, I often ordered takeout, and the seasoning on the crying tiger salad was authentic, though I still recommend dining in for the best experience.

Doughlicious pizza and pasta - VIC

Sk Sk I recently ordered a pizza here for the first time, and I must say, theres truly no place like it, especially in the hillside area. It was fantastic! The crust was perfectly crispy yet soft, and the flavor reminded me of authentic Italian pizzas. The size was impressively large for a regular pizza, and the generous toppings were made with high-quality ingredients. I especially recommend the meat lovers pizza! The cheesy garlic is especially delicious! And Rebecca is truly wonderful; shes so friendly and welcoming. From sara
