Pho Ngon Springvale - VIC

Ska Sidwod Pretty good place for Banh Mi. Due to the long line for Bun Bun, i decided to look for another place to get Banh Mi nearby. The Crispy Pork Banh Mi was really delicious, and the bread tasted fresher than at Bun Bun. The sauce was unique, having a slight hint of spice. It is around $8-10 depending on the stuffing and size, but I think this is a pretty good alternative of Bun Bun. I do think the Bun Bun Banh Mi does taste better, but i would still recommend it, especially if Bun Bun’s line for it is long.

melliesworld01 We came back for a second go. It’s now my go-to in Melbourne for a bowl of “bun mam” and “com bo luc lac” that hits all the right notes + condiments - sublime.

Was so grateful and honourable to have her superb service and suggestions on the menu. I would invite her as a business partner someday if i own a restaurant business myself. Good job Chi and Thank you!

First Taste - VIC

Cheong K Herbal soup and claypot rice - delicious and reasonably priced. We have been coming here for more than 5 years and the food has been very consistent - delicious, fresh and tasty. Our favourite is the har gow mai sin (see picture). The dumpling is very nice and goes well with the soup and noodles. Our next favourite is the claypot rice with the fish, chilli and preserved vege. It is tasty and refreshing. The fish is not smelly at all. We bought the hainan chicken rice for our son. Not recommended at all. Stick to the dumplings and claypot rice. They also serve herbal soups. Again, it is delicious and nutritious. Give this place a go when you are in Springvale.

Bun Bo Hue Chu Le - VIC

Wu Amelia Pork chop with broken rice were so nice - juicy, tender and full of flavour. Broken rice was cooked perfectly too, firm and separated grains. Bun Bo Hue was so flavorful too. Great ambience for a Springvale restaurant and friendly staff.

Saigon Rex 美心酒樓 - VIC

Ann Reeves I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing place called Saigon Rex Restaurant. Very crowded for lunch and brunch on the weekends which is always a good sign. I must say, it was a remarkable experience from start to finish. The food was really tasty, good portion sizes and at a reasonable price. The menu boasted an extensive selection of Yum Cha and Chinese delicacies from the classic, delicious freshly cooked Dim Sum and Lunch. The staff deserves a special mention for their friendly and impeccable service. They were attentive, knowledgeable and eager to cater to our preferences. Their recommendations were spot on, helping us explore the wide array of Cantonese flavors with confidence. For lunch, we had classic Dim Sum. We love this hidden gem sooo much and we cant wait to come back soon because the Chinese food is really yummy with good ambiance, great parking and no service charge fees. I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Chinese cuisine in a welcoming and elegant setting.
