2 /5 Abbyisme123: I don’t like to post bad reviews but I would not come back to this place. Whilst it looks aesthetic and cute the food is extremely underwhelming and disappointing My friends and I decided to get a few things from the “to share” section. For the price of these options you would expect somewhat decent portions but no no no and also lots of the food was extremely hard to share! Coming in very odd sizes and most of them coming with 4 or 5 pieces despite them seeing we were a group of 6 meaning we often had to cut up and awkwardly divide the food. This of course would be understandable if each plate wasn’t around $30 each. Most of the food lacked flavour the sashimi was okay but I have had a lot better elsewhere. The gyoza tasted like eating a spoonful of oil and all the chicken was dry if it weren’t for the sauce saving them. I have had much better Japanese food for better value. The menus were worn out and unreadable for the most part - which was very strange. If I were you I would support more cheap and cheerful places and if you want to splurge a bit more - don’t even bother with this one maybe try the cbd. And now I leave you with the biggest item we received at this place… the ridiculous bottle of water!

3 /5 Rachel Chee: This place has always been on my list to try because I’ve heard so much buzz about it. While the interior is stunning and has great aesthetic elements to it, unfortunately I was quite disappointed by the serving size of each dishes we tried for the price we paid. Not worth the share plates at all in my opinion as my friends and I ordered a lot and were still hungry afterwards (I only took some photos of the food). The taste of the food was average, there’s definitely better Japanese places out there with better value and size for cheaper price. I probably won’t be visiting this place again in the near future, the vibes were alright so maybe I would come back to just try the Teishoku. Overall, I was disappointed and not satisfied with my experience.

4 /5 Bec: Very cute, authentic Japanese restaurant located on Smith Street, Collingwood. We booked a table for 4 and even though it was a Tuesday night, I would still recommend booking. We ordered 2 x pork gyokas to share and edamame. For main we each had a Teishoku plate; mine was pork belly wrapped asparagus. A good feed for approximately $50 pp. The restaurant lacked airflow however, and it became quite hot and stuffy (30 degrees day). Overall a pleasant dining experience.

3 /5 Yung Porcelain: This is such a cute space! I really enjoyed the ambiance. Got the teishoku with salmon. I’m not sure it was worth the hefty cost, personally. The wait staff forgot to put through our meal and drinks, so we were waiting a long time and had to remind them and re-order. Not sure what happened on the night but staff seemed frazzled and dropped plates on the floor a few times. They didn’t seem very happy which translated through the experience. Even though it’s such a cute space, the whole thing felt kind of stressful.

5 /5 shelagh kratz: So cute and so yum. Got their sashimi set and it was so perfect. Service was also amazing. The garden is especially cool (ask to go use the bathroom, trust me) and you get taken through the back garden to the back of the restaurant that’s decorated to look like a Japanese side street.
