Ellyn Hackett Honestly, I could probably write an essay about how much I adore this dojo. It’s amazing how you can make new connections just by attending one lesson! I train a few of the martial arts there and the coaches and students are genuinely the kindest people I know. I appreciate how much this place has done for me, as now I constantly think ‘wait what’s happening at the dojo today’ Overall just want to thank you so much for creating such a nice and welcoming space!!

Her workshop provided a safe space that encouraged and answered any questions that popped up as we explored fundamental asanas (yoga poses) in their English and Sanskrit names, importance of breathe, alignment and the movement from asana to asana and much more! Her teaching style is clear, encouraging and deeply rooted in her genuine passion for Yoga. Esther’s Hatha Yoga classes held at Blackmat are so nourishing for the mind and body. If you are thinking about booking a workshop, yoga class or any other of Esther’s offerings, don’t hesitate!

After a serious back injury last year, I was nervous about returning to training, but with Troy’s knowledge and encouragement I’ve been able to rebuild my strength and confidence. He genuinely cares - can’t recommend him enough.
