Fairbairn Park - VIC

Roni Dattani A dog friendly park (allowed to go off leash) and most of the other dog owners do the right thing to keep the park clean. There is a water fountain and doggie bowl near a kiddie park and plenty of fields where kids play sports . Public toilets next to the tennis courts and plenty of parking. It is a short walk to the river and the there are a few spots you can find emergency doggie bags if needed. Best thing about the park is your dog will want to keep coming back and meet other friendly dogs

Each mosaic represents a different local theme including architecture and landmarks, Indigenous people, Flemington Racetrack, wartime in Kensington, Newmarket saleyards, the gold rush, Maribyrnong River, local flora, fauna and the future. The mosaics were the result of a 1996 community art project undertaken as part of a Jobskills program, and led by artists Helen Bodycomb and Paul Robinson. Youll find these on the pavement of Belair Street, Kensington, directly opposite the west side of Kensington train station.

Shot Tower Museum - VIC

OpenroadFootprint Tucked inside Melbourne Central like a secret time capsule - because nothing says Melbourne like a 19th-century tower chilling under a giant glass cone! Snapped the shot while trying not to fall over staring straight up... definitely looked like a total tourist. Make sure you head into the museum and learn the history! Worth it!
