He is the only person I trust to really help me heal from injuries or issues. He also is very knowledgeable about piriformis syndrome and was a huge part in helping me manange my symptoms. SweatClub and Sweat Pt now called MiddleParkFitness - VIC

Abhinav Bidani Reasonably priced. The owner is extremely easy going and very understanding. Make the place your own - nothing pretentious about it. Heaos of little toys around the place to try out. Come and go as you please. Turn on whatever music that suits you. Facilities and equipment are great too.

Urban Workout - VIC

Suzanne Walker We moved to the area a few months into my first pregnancy. I wasnt sure how to move my body safely, or how best to stay healthy and active. Andrew was great, he got me feeling stronger and we maintained a regular training regime up until my last workout (at a week overdue!) He always devised programs that felt challenging and energising, rather than training to exhaustion. Unfortunately we moved again when my daughter was born but Ill always be grateful to Urban Workout (and Andrew specifically) for supporting me during such an important physical transition.

Paul Bower Anytime Fitness South Melbourne, youve outdone yourself! The new facility is a major upgrade—its like moving from a cozy apartment to a luxury penthouse! With room for six people to deadlift, squat, and generally crush it without monopolizing the benches, training here feels like a breeze. You can actually count on getting equipment without playing “who’s next?” in line—a dream come true for anyone on a schedule. New toys? Oh, they’ve got em! Standing Calf Raise, Hack Squat, and Lateral Shoulder Machines join the lineup, along with all your cardio needs (treadmills, bikes, stair climbers, you name it). The space is spacious, thoughtfully laid out, and—bonus—keeps you cool with just-right air conditioning. Of course, the staff is as awesome as ever. Matt and Dave keep the motivation high and the laughs coming, while Nat and Warren push clients to their limits (in the best way). Seriously, what’s not to love? Anytime Fitness South Melbourne is a solid 10/10!

Next Level Fitness South Melbourne 24/7 - VIC

monica benyk I’ve been going to Next Level Fitness in South Melbourne since early Sept 2025. I loved this place from Day 1 and was pleasantly surprised by the great value for money, but wanted to make sure I really tested it out before writing. In short, it is the best gym I’ve experienced in my life. For one thing, there is no queuing - this is a very spacious gym with stacks of beautifully maintained, high- quality cardio and resistance equipment, free weights, a boxing ring, punching bags, you name it. I love that the gym is very uncrowded, clean, well- ventilated and fresh- smelling! Most importantly, the staff are awesome: Romeo is an outstanding personal trainer and has already proven that I can achieve all my fitness goals - and more. The owner is professional, respectful, and knowledgeable as is the helpful gym manager and the owner’s son. A great team! I am really excited to regain strength, flexibility and fitness- my resting heart rate has already improved by 10%! I was a serious runner and hurdler in my youth and while I will never be as fast as I was at 19, I am confident I will soon be in the best shape of my life! I highly recommend this gym- I even convinced my husband to join!

It’s the best environment to train in, the equipment and facilities are far superior to anything else in Melbourne. Not to mention the staff who really make this space so special. Not to mention the cafe is incredible !

State Sport Centres - MSAC - VIC

Jordan I recently joined MSAC and signed up for a membership, and so far my experience has been excellent. The centre offers a wide range of facilities, classes, and different areas to access, making it great value for money. I highly recommend the Coach by Colour cycling class, for all fitness levels. Anna is incredibly motivational and welcoming, especially if you’re new to cycling or just starting your fitness journey. Anna’s class strikes the perfect balance between challenging and fun. My first visit to the gym was a really positive one. Artu completed my initial body scan and program—he’s knowledgeable and thorough, and clearly knows his stuff. Mikaela guided me through my program for the first time; she was professional yet approachable, helping me feel at ease as a newcomer.If you choose the right times, the gym is a pleasure to use—not too crowded, with modern machines that are easy to work with. Overall, almost every staff member I’ve encountered at MSAC has been helpful, supportive, and genuinely invested in looking after members. It’s been a great (re)start to my fitness journey.
