Spice on High - Authentic Indian Cuisine - VIC

George Mondon I knew it was going to be good when they brought out a warm plate prior to the mains arriving. Couldn’t fault the meal, as a classic westerner I ordered the butter chicken and my partner had a paneer dish. Both were amazing! The garlic naan was fresh and delicious. The whole meal really was banging.

Abraham Herasan There was a little something for everyone. We went in a group for 3 but you can definitely take the family or a large group to have a great night. Compliments to the chefs. The sashimi platter was amazing and I definitely recommend trying the chicken katsu don and steak don. The service was wonderful and all staff members were kind and friendly.

Rong Sichuan - VIC

Foodie Luwee The authenticity of the flavours here is simply unmatched. Each dish is a fiery burst of Sichuan spice, perfectly balanced with bold, savory undertones. The menu offers an extensive range of traditional dishes, from the iconic mouth-numbing hotpot to delishly prepared stir-fries. What really stands out, apart from the food, is the level of service. The staff here are incredibly helpful and accommodating. Theyre always willing to guide you through the menu, suggest the right spice levels, and ensure you have an excellent dining experience.

Jade Kew - VIC

Carmen Zirafi Jade Kew is hands down one of my favorite places to celebrate Chinese New Year! Located in Kew, this authentic Chinese restaurant never disappoints. Each year, we look forward to enjoying their outstanding, flavor-packed dishes that truly capture the essence of traditional Chinese cuisine. A standout memory was our visit for the melon soup, which was absolutely fantastic! Just last Sunday, we enjoyed a delightful spread featuring fresh oysters, tender beef, and delicious fish. Every dish was bursting with freshness and authenticity. The owner is incredibly warm and inviting, always ready to recommend the right dishes and ensures we get the freshest options. It’s clear they take pride in their food and service! I also love that during Chinese New Year, you can experience the lively lion dance, which adds to the festive atmosphere. I highly recommend Jade for anyone looking for an authentic dining experience, whether its during the Lunar New Year or any time of year!

Pot House 蝎子王 羊蝎子 火锅 牛骨 牛杂 - VIC

Sherry Shen We came here on a cold evening and their signature lamb spine hotpot was exactly what we needed. The meat portions were surprisingly generous — big, tender chunks that fall off the bone with just a little nudge. The broth was rich, warming, and got more flavorful as it simmered. We also tried the beef and lamb slices, which were perfect for a quick dip in the hotpot, and the savory tofu was such a nice surprise — very soft inside and soaked up all the broth’s flavor. The side dishes were tasty and great for little breaks between the meat. Portion sizes are large, so it’s ideal for sharing with friends. The service was friendly and the whole dining experience felt relaxed and comforting. If you love hearty food and don’t mind getting your hands a bit messy while enjoying big pieces of meat, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

AliQapu - VIC

Shirley Lin Wow! I haven’t tried many Persian restaurants before, so this was genuinely life changing. Food was delicious and unlike anything I’ve tried before. The ambiance and decor was so cool, it felt really authentic - especially the huge wooden entrance. Our server, Sofia, was very accommodating, when we accidentally booked the wrong amount of people she was able to fit us in at a bigger table with zero fuss. She was very attentive and overall helped make the experience 5 stars! I had a great meal and will definitely be returning.
