Spice Temple - VIC

GeorgeM Hands down our favourite family restaurant of all. Food and service is top notch. Neil Perry set this restaurant up beautifully and we have been coming since it opened. The food has a difference about it as far as Asian cuisine is concerned. Every dish is a highlight and has the wow factor. From someone who is not a vegetarian my favourite dish is the Fish Fragrant Eggplant. It has converted so many of my family and friends to eggplant lovers. So many other mouth watering dishes. We love going in a group to taste more of the wonderful dishes.

Marmont - VIC

JNR Went to have drinks, wanted a specific cocktail that they couldnt make, was going to stop with one drink and go elsewhere to get my cocktail but service was too fantastic to leave, once they knew i wanted something they didnt make they offered me surprise cocktails.. each one they created was more yummy than the last. We ended up staying for lots of cocktails and even dinner... which was one of the most flavoursome meals Ive had in years. If you want over and above service with lots of smiles, amazing cocktails and delicious food, dont walk past Marmont! Honestly cant fault anything.

YASSAS - THE GREEK WAY (SOUTHBANK) - VIC

Jun L Nice views of the Yarra River if you manage to grab a riverside seat. The food was good, though slightly on the pricier side. Customer service was warm and attentive, which really elevated the experience. The portion size felt reasonable for the price, and the staff were very friendly throughout. A solid choice for a relaxed weekend lunch.

Kathy Chang Great selection of seafood and other cuisines, the mushroom risotto was particular excellent. The oysters were really fresh and my personal favourite was the desert selection and chocolate fountain! The waiters were super friendly and came to check up on us often which made the experience much more welcoming. Super nice environment overall would definitely come for a special celebration!

Ponyfish Island - VIC

Paul Flanigan A perfect little gem in the heart of Melbourne. Always enjoy this bar from the choice of drinks and food available. But best is the vibe with the music and people watching on both sides of river. Let alone the traffic on the water. Great to find a spot as the sun sets and take up the sun rays. Staff are always happy and friendly

Saké Restaurant & Bar Hamer Hall - VIC

Amilliah Saké Restaurant & Bar near Hamer Hall in Southbank is a lovely choice if you’re after refined Japanese cuisine in a quieter part of the city that’s perfect for a pre or post theatre meal or special night out. The restaurant has a calm, stylish ambience just down from the theatre precinct and close to the river, which makes it ideal for a relaxed dinner before a show. I went for dinner and enjoyed several tasty dishes and thoughtful small bites, the flavours were nice, and the menu blends modern and classic Japanese ingredients very well. It is on the pricier side, and portions lean toward small bite style rather than generous mains, so this feels more like a place to savour a few courses than fill up on one large plate. Drinks and cocktails are also premium priced, but the extensive drink list, including sake, cocktails and wine, paired well with the food. The beef tartare was nice with the raw egg in the middle. One really nice touch is that you can pay separately after your meal, which is helpful if you’re dining with a group and want individual bills.
