Bangalore Cravings - VIC

Savi Sharma The best dosa I have had in Australia, hands down! Genuine South Indian flavors reminded me a little of CTR Bangalore. Fantastic idli and sambar. The vada was okay (not bad, but not great). Honestly, it’s the greatest South Indian food spot—small menu, but high quality.

Dr. Ramakant Rana I had the pink sauce pasta at Pop101 and it was amazing! The pasta was cooked just right and the sauce was really tasty and creamy. The place has a cool, raw look with Indian vibes – very relaxed and different. The person working there was friendly too. I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely come back again!

Tulsi Kathiyawadi - VIC

Mayur Katariya ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Kathiawadi Carnival! Pure Veg Excellence with a Fun Fair Vibe! Tulsi Kathiawadi isnt just a restaurant, its a food fair; its a vibrant, exhilarating experience that instantly transports you to a grand Gujarati fun fair or village mela! From the moment you step in, the energy is infectious, making it the perfect spot for a lively family dinner or a fun night out with friends. This place deserves every one of its five stars, mostly thanks to its incredible food and uniquely cozy environment. The ambiance is absolutely unmatched. We loved ditching the traditional tables and settling down on the authentic dhaba-style beds (charpai)—it’s such a clever, comfortable, and truly Indian touch that adds to the rustic charm. The whole setup, complete with vibrant decor and bustling activity, genuinely feels like a great Indian environment. When it comes to the food, the pure vegetarian selection is expansive and spectacular. The Kathiawadi specials, especially the comforting and perfectly seasoned Khichdi-Kadhi, are soul-satisfying classics. But the real showstopper? The street food scene! Having three separate stalls dedicated to unlimited Pani Puri is genius—you never have to wait long for a refreshing, spicy burst of flavor. Plus, their snack selection is top-tier, giving serious competition to the best street food hubs, earning the reputation of serving "Gopi Chatka"-level quality snacks. To round off the perfect meal, you absolutely must indulge in their piping hot Chai and finish with a fresh, flavorful Paan. Its the ultimate end to a culinary journey that celebrates the best of Gujarati and Indian flavors. Great options, amazing food, and a truly fun environment—we cant wait to go back!

Tiffin Box - VIC

Chrissy W I popped in on a tuesday to try out their Dum Biryani Halal Chicken on a $15 special and I absolutely loved it. The portion was huge, it was made fresh and came with yoghurt(?) sauce. The biryani was delicious and fulfilling, so much so I have gotten it a couple more times since then. The workers are lovely and the restaurant is decorated beautifully inside as well. I recommend this place if you want a meal!!

Sahib E Swad - Clayton - VIC

Ammar Ansari Went Againnn!!! Tried Sahib-e-Swaad in Clayton today and wow… this place is next level! I had their Amritsari Kulcha, served with Chole, Achar, and Salad and honestly, it was crazy amazing! The flavors, the crunch, the spice everything just hit perfectly. Also tried their AK-47 Paneer, and that was equally delicious, rich, and full of that authentic Punjabi taste you rarely find here. Honestly, this is one of the best, most genuine Indian Punjabi food experiences I’ve ever had in Melbourne. If you’re in Clayton and craving proper desi flavor, this is a must-visit. Not gonna lie they had real swaad!
