Yume Japanese Eatery - VIC

Hungry The team behind one of my favourite Japanese cafes, Hana Kafe, have just opened up another store in Camberwell, Yume and the star of the show, their sushi, has remained high quality and fresh. The cuts are so thick and I love the variety and flavour. I really liked the tamago with mentaiko sauce side dish at Hana and no regrets ordering the full size - it was sooo good. My favourite dish at Hana was the Poke Bowl, with comes with salmon, tuna, kingfish, tamago, avocado, truffle mayo, kabayaki sauce, citrus soy sauce, furikake, spring onion, fish roe, but today felt like there was too much rice and would have preferred more of that delicious sauce and fresh fish to balance it all out. Definitely recommend their sushi, it’s so good, well presented and delicious. I’d also highly recommend their black sesame and hojicha mochi wrapped gelato. Perfect amount of sweetness, so creamy and the mochi was so soft! We tried the: â–ȘD.R.E.A.M platter, 51pcs ($119.90) â–ȘPoke Bowl ($23.90) â–ȘTamago with Mentaiko Sauce ($9.80) â–ȘCurry Croquettes ($9.80) â–ȘSweet Harmony ($35.90) Such a cosy, clean and modern cafe, well presented and good for sharing with big groups of people, or smaller plates for solo dining type of atmosphere also!

Alleycat Cafe - VIC

Barry Foster Transported back in time to a French Cafe. What a gem hiding in Theatre place. The crepes are delicious with fruits and ice-cream or yoghurt on the side. Our favourite place for coffees and brunch in Canterbury. We liked the vintage decor and my parents even recognised the old fashioned ice-cream signage. Seating inside or outside in the front courtyard, a pleasant french style experience on a beautiful day.

Xiang Ju Noodle Restaurant - VIC

CalmGiant World Beef rice was just succulent fragrant and a joy to eat. My partner had some noodle soup with a broth so clear and with just enough depth of flavour to lift the delicate noodles with your preferred side dish. Will come back again

The Cooks Tale Restaurant - VIC

Adam Cohen A Sunday Roast like no other. Great service, great food all at a very reasonable prices. 1 oclock on Sunday afternoon and we were suprised to find the restaurant was quite empty. Was given a nice Windows seat with a view of the scaffolding! And that is where I could only hope visit would get better and it did. We ordered the pot roast Tandoori chicken and awaited out feast. It is all cooked to order, we knew it would take around an hour to arrive. What we did not expect what a small taster menu to be served up whilst waiting. The tasters where delicious and made the time pass quicker. And when the pot roast arrive it came with further selection of sides. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted devine. Chef Dev know his food and how to fuse his cusines perfectly. Definitely one to try when in Canterbury.

Old Kingdom - VIC

Caitlyn Nguyen ive been here several times with my family and despite the extremely busy and noisy atmosphere, its our favourite peking duck restaurant. dined here on easter saturday with my bf, and we enjoyed how much value there is in their peking duck set; the duck itself is just wayyy too good. im surprised by the other reviews mentioning mediocre service; we personally thought they were very friendly and attentive :-)
