Nokii - VIC
Sean Han I recently visited this restaurant and was really impressed.
The head chef has over 20 years of experience, including time at a Lucas Group restaurant, and it really shows in the quality of the food. All the sauces are house made, which adds a special touch to the dishes.
The Japanese fried chicken ($12) was crispy and full of flavour, a great way to start the meal. The salmon crispy rice sushi ($12) and Hokkaido scallop crispy rice sushi ($14) were both fantastic, with a great balance of texture and taste.
I also enjoyed the volcano roll maki ($28) and tuna roll maki ($24), which were fresh and well prepared. The salmon sashimi ($20) was incredibly fresh and simply delicious.
The restaurant has only been open for two months, but it’s already clear that they’re doing an excellent job. They also have affordable lunch options for takeaway, which is great for a quick and tasty meal. Definitely worth a visit!
