5 /5 Abid Iqbal: Gibson Steps – A Memorable Experience by the Ocean Our visit to Gibson Steps was truly memorable, offering a close and personal view of the stunning Apostles from the beach. The golden sands, dramatic cliffs, and crashing waves create a breathtaking scene that’s absolutely worth visiting. There are a few stairs to negotiate to reach the beach, but the beauty that awaits makes it all worthwhile. A small word of caution: be mindful of snakes in the surrounding area. It’s worth noting there are no toilet or drinking water facilities here, and the beach is unmanned — so come prepared. Despite that, we loved every moment and would happily return to soak in the incredible views and peaceful atmosphere again!

5 /5 Crian Mackenzie: Couldnt go past this as had heard about Gibson steps some time ago. Pretty good. Made our way down the steps to the beach... Bloody beautiful. Spectacular. Great stroll along the beach, checking out the sandstone cliff. Seems the stairs may have been hand carved by local indigenous people hundreds of years ago, then cleaned up and used by Gibson to access the beach more recently. Whatever it is, definitely worth the trek. Not suitable for wheelchairs, and if you do have physical short comings, pick a coolish dry day and take your time.

5 /5 Justin Y: Having been to the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge many times before, I had not been here and all I can say is, this is the absolute highlight of the area! The beauty of the ocean and the rock formations is incredible. Just be careful on the narrow steps as they may also be wet!

5 /5 Pat Chung: Visiting this stunning Gibson Steps is a must if you have sufficient time to do it before/ after visiting Twelve Apostles. I didnt visit it during my last visit to Melbourne because of a few reasons: 1. We arrived Twelve Apostles too late, even skipping Gibson Steps. 2. The weather was too bad, as it was a foggy day with rain. 3. The car park at Gibson Steps was so small that we needed to park the car at Twelve Apostles car park and then walk 15 minutes back to Gibson Steps. This time we were lucky and we made it. Parking a car at the Gibson Steps car park was still uneasy even we visited on a weekday. Going down and up the Gibson Steps was pretty easy. I reckon perhaps about 60 to 80 steps. The view from the bottom of the cliff was different from the top. From here, you can imagine if you were standing in front of the Twelve Apostles, as you are not allowed to go down from the cliff to watch the Twelve Apostles which is just 3 minutes driving away from this Gibson Steps site.
