5 /5 Tayo N: Rasa Rasa was a random find on my way home from work. After just talking to my Malaysian friend about authentic tasting Mee Goreng and sadly learning that one of our fave restaurants had permanently closed, I suddenly got cravings for Mee Goreng and began Googling Malaysian restaurants near me.
Rasa Rasa caught my attention with their many positive reviews (Plus it was just 10 mins away from work) and so, I decided to give it a try (and I am so glad I did)! :)
Ordered the CKT, Mee Goreng and Laksa Siam for takeaway. All meals were delicious and full of flavour and the portion size was decent too. Next time I’ll probably go for the spiciest option as I went with medium and found that a bit mild for me.
The CKT was especially good and had that authentic Malaysian taste with the “wok hei”! The Mee Goreng was also pretty good however, I personally feel it could be even better with extra “wok hei” (char).
It was my first time trying the Laksa Siam which did not disappoint. The broth tastes similar to Tom Yum Kha broth - tangy with this creamy coconut milk texture. It felt like a nice warm (belly) hug. Much needed during the cold weather. Overall, I was really happy with their food! Could definitely tell it is authentic Malaysian. :) Lastly, the lady/owner who served me was really kind and personable. I appreciate service with a smile. :) Thank you Rasa Rasa! I will definitely be returning with my Malaysian friend to try all other items on your menu! :)
