Powers Lookout - VIC

Greg McEwan Great to see where Ned Kelly and Harry Powell hid out in the bush. Some steps but not overly difficult but well worth the effort - the views are stunning. Highly recommend to go down their the creek in between the farmhouse and king river camping and look up into the hill to see the lookout from ground level. (As per my pictures) The Quinn’s original homestead would have been down in that area.

Wirrawilla Rainforest Walk - VIC

Owl Editz The 1km trail is an easy, relaxing walk along the boardwalk. A lovely addition to a trip to Healesville and surrounds. Getting there involves about 10mins drive on non-sealed (dusty) roads, and there’s a carpark at the start of the trail entrance.

Agnes Falls - VIC

Jackie Brown A really beautiful picnic spot, definitely worth a stop. Easy walk down to a viewing area for the waterfalls. Good flow all year round. Its a unique location, with farmland surrounding this beautiful gorge and constant water supply. Clean drop toilets and nice picnic benches.

Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve (Parks Victoria) - VIC

Cathy Cooper Beautiful interesting place in an old volcano. Heeded the advice to go at dusk and sure enough the koalas were active, running around on the ground, climbing trees, and one male was growling up in the tree. We also saw kangaroos. However no emus, and we think maybe they had settled in for the night somewhere. Returned the next day mid morning and found the emus near the Lava Tongue boardwalk. Also saw a wallaby and lots of birds. The koalas were up in the trees quiet and resting.

Noojee Heritage Centre - VIC

Xiaoli Jiang The centre brings the areas timber and railroad history to life, giving us a glimpse into the lives and culture of the people who lived in the area in the past. Stop here for a walk, picnic or coffee, enjoy the views of the valley, meet the friendly people and get away from it all.

Tomahawk Hut - VIC

Laura Vo Nice drive in with beautiful views. The hut is well maintained & managed by State Forest carers but its a shame to see visitors have left bits of rubbish around in fire pits & surrounds.
